Emmerdale fans fear that one villager will leave for good – just because they are speaking more than usual.

Since Rodney has been in more scenes than usual this week, fans think it is a sign that he will be leaving the Dales very soon. This comes after Rodney was seen a lot in the hospital when Jimmy was hit by Joe Tate’s car earlier this week.

However, in tonight’s episode his only speaking role was when Clemmie and Carl made up as friends after the picture saga that has put their families through hell. This has led to some fans to be concerned on X.

Worried fan @TonyCoffey15 said: “Rodney is getting way too many lines lately, I’m worried they might kill him off” #Emmerdale ” Some fans hit back at this post and said: “That’s no way to talk about Rodney! #Emmerdale.”

However, other fans celebrated that the long-standing character and father of Nicola King had lines to say this week as they hope it continues. @MattMurkyfuture said: “YES Rodney got some lines again #emmerdale ”

Another fan was also reminiscent about Rodney’s time on Emmerdale @mikepriestley13 said: “It’s horrible seeing Rodney looking so old obviously it’s life but you always want to see him like do in the classic episodes. I’m glad he’s still in scenes. #Emmerdale ”
