Bold & Beautiful New EP Confirms Thomas Forrester’s Return

The Bold and the Beautiful is officially bringing back Thomas Forrester, and fans can’t stop talking about it.

Actor Matthew Atkinson is reportedly back on set this week. In a recent post, new executive producer Casey Kasprzyk confirmed the comeback, prompting fans to wonder what Thomas’s next storyline might be.

Casey Kasprzyk reveals Matthew Atkinson was on the Bold and Beautiful set this week

As Michael Fairman TV puts it, Kasprzyk made it official with an Instagram Story featuring him and Matthew Atkinson, writing, “Nice to have Matt Atkinson on set this week.”

The post confirmed that Atkinson was filming at B&B’s Sunset Las Palmas Studios in Hollywood. Atkinson, who’s played Thomas Forrester since 2019 after taking over from Pierson Fodé, is back in action after only sporadic appearances since July 2024.

Then, in September, he appeared again, returning from Paris after things ended with Paris Buckingham. Early in that stretch, he went head-to-head with his family, furious that Ridge Forrester ditched Taylor Hayes to get back with Brooke Logan.

He even threw a few sharp words Brooke’s way that had fans talking. But after those fiery episodes, Thomas pretty much vanished from the show, something Kasprzyk’s new Instagram post hints might finally be changing.

It’s common knowledge that The Bold and the Beautiful usually films a few weeks ahead. So, Matthew Atkinson being back on set probably means fans won’t have to wait long to see Thomas again. His return also includes some major storylines, like Liam Spencer recently proposing to Hope.

Kasprzyk’s update comes as The Bold and the Beautiful undergoes some big behind-the-scenes changes. Earlier this year, he was promoted to the Executive Producer role, becoming the first non-Bell family member to hold that spot.

With four Daytime Emmys under his belt, he has ample experience in creating Soap Operas. He may be planning on bringing back classic characters while giving the show a fresh spin, so it makes sense that he’s reviving Thomas, one of the most talked-about fan favorites.
