Kate Mansi Directs on General Hospital
You’ve known her as an actress for many, many years, but Kate Mansi is officially adding a brand-new title to her creative repertoire.
Mansi, who currently plays Kristina Corinthos-Davis on General Hospital, is stepping behind the camera and joining the director’s chair, at least for an episode.
She took to platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram to share the milestone, posting a reel of herself walking outside the Directors Guild of America. Her caption said it all: “The high of doing something you’d always dreamed of doing. My episode airs this Tuesday 18th!”
For anyone who doesn’t know, the Directors Guild of America is the organization that represents film and television directors throughout the U.S. and beyond. And while this might feel like a fresh chapter for Mansi, it’s not her first time calling the shots behind the scenes.
Kae Mansi Directs

Mansi recently co-wrote, produced, and starred in a new project she titled Oh Sh!t, proving she’s got just as much creativity behind the camera as she does in front of it.
And longtime Days of Our Lives fans will remember that she also directed an episode of the series after spending years playing Abigail Deveraux, a role that earned her a Daytime Emmy.
At the time, she shared a photo with Days director Sonia Blangiardo-Goins and wrote, “This picture is special. Here’s why: I took it right before I dove into my very first day ever directing.”
Mansi joins a growing list of soap stars who’ve ventured into directing. Alison Sweeney (Sami, Days) has done it. Heather Tom (Katie on The Bold and the Beautiful) has acted, written, and directed on B&B.
Elizabeth Hendrickson was just promoted to director at The Young and the Restless, where she also plays Chloe Mitchell.
No word yet on whether Mansi will be directing more episodes. But be sure to watch her GH directorial debut on Tuesday.
It’s clear Kate Mansi’s creative fire is burning brighter than ever. Congrats, Kate. The director’s chair looks good on you.
