Ex-General Hospital Star Marcus Coloma Returns to Fans with Two-Day Holiday Event
Marcus Coloma is probably best known for his run as Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital, a role he played from 2019–2023.
Since leaving the show, he’s stayed busy, appearing in short projects alongside GH favorites Kin Shriner and Maurice Benard.
Outside of General Hospital, he’s also known for roles on The Mentalist, Drop Dead Diva, Major Crimes, and more. Now, he’s gearing up to reconnect with fans in a big way.
Marcus Coloma Health Scare
Coloma recently opened up about something far more personal — a health battle he didn’t even know he was fighting. He revealed that a heart condition had been affecting him for years without him realizing it. He shared that he’d been dealing with constant fatigue, brain fog, and shortness of breath, often needing to lie down by early afternoon just to make it through the day.
A routine visit to a physical therapist ended up being the turning point. The therapist checked his heart rate and noticed it was alarmingly high. And so immediate medical attention followed.
Doctors later discovered that Coloma had been born with a congenital heart condition. While he hasn’t disclosed the full details, it was serious enough to require immediate surgery. Of course, this condition could have become life-threatening if left untreated. Thankfully, he caught it in time.
With that said, Coloma is ready to dive back into connecting with the fans who’ve supported him through every chapter.
