Fans were taken aback when new episodes of all three shows had not aired in the past two weeks.
They each air back-to-back on Wednesday nights on NBC and stream the next day on Peacock.
However, there’s been a hiatus of new episodes, and fans are livid about the changeup.
“What’s going on with #ChicagoPD? I’m waiting on new episodes two weeks in a row. They need to drop the entire season at once,” one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Why yall keep taking these breaks ?! #chicagomed,” someone else asked.
“NBC punishing fans because they didn’t want to pay their employees right. I’m tired of them blaming the strikes… We already got a shortened seasoned. This isn’t right. #ChicagoMed #ChicagoFire,” a third blasted.
According to TV Line, NBC has been airing reruns of One Chicago as production “catches up” from Writer’s Guild and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
During the strikes, scriptwriting for the current seasons of Chicago One was held up, and the cast could not start shooting until after November 9.
FAN REACTIONS
Fans previously ripped the network after they chose to withhold new episodes without warning.
“So before I structure my night around TV is there going to be new episodes of #OneChicago tonight?” an X user wondered.
“No new #OneChicago tonight,” a second noted.
“Unbelievable. A second time in a month with no new episodes; #OneChicago is airing repeat episodes. No new episode until March 20th.
“This is disappointing, considering we have a shortened season due to the strike,” another ranted.
“The one that doesn’t take a break every other week. I’d prefer the season end early than wonder each week if it’s a new episode or repeat,” a fourth added.
“When it comes to television, Wednesday is the only day I look forward to these days. And both #ChicagoMed and #AbbottElementary are repeats tonight? Throw the whole week away,” a fifth complained.
BIG RETURN
New episodes are expected to air on March 20, as trailers have been released on One Chicago’s official Instagram page.
