However, those looking to get their Y&R fix can do so with a Thanksgiving throwback episode. On Thursday, November 27, fans will be treated to the first wedding of Danny (Michael Damian) and Christine (Lauralee Bell).
Their first wedding took place in Hawaii, which is something soaps did back in the day. The episode first aired on November 16, 1990.
It’s the perfect episode, considering that Christine and Danny just got married again this week, 35 years after their first wedding.
On Friday, November 28, The Young and the Restless will be preempted for CBS coverage of college football. The preemption is a yearly tradition, so it’s not a surprise that the CBS soap is on a long weekend break.

When The Young and the Restless returns, it will be a full week of episodes. Now that Thanksgiving is over, it’s back to the drama at hand.
A preview video revealed that Victor (Eric Braeden) makes his way to Los Angeles. Victor comes face-to-face with a not-so-dead Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) and the sketchy Detective Burros (Matt Cohen).
Adding Victor to the Los Angeles chaos will bring even more drama to the storyline, especially after he learns that Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) are searching for a missing Noah (Lucas Adams), whom Matt kidnapped.
Back in Genoa City, Jack (Peter Bergman) fills Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Traci (Beth Maitland) in on the fact that Victor has Cane’s (Billy Flynn) AI program and is threatening to destroy Jabot with it. Jack has a plan, but makes it clear to his sisters that he intends to save the family company.
Those are just a couple of things The Young and the Restless fans have to look forward to when the CBS soap returns.
The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.
