Emmerdale Danny Miller’s wife Steph ‘proud’ as soap star teases crossover

The Aaron Dingle actor will be starring in the ITV soap crossover

Emmerdale star Danny Miller received a “proud” comment from wife Steph Jones as he appeared at the Corriedale red carpet. Actor Danny Miller first joined Emmerdale in 2008 and took on the role of Aaron Dingle. Since then he’s become a beloved character in the soap, having been involved in the main storylines.

Outside of the Dales, Danny announced the birth of his third child with wife Steph after they shared the exciting news that they were expecting earlier this year. Danny got engaged to his partner Steph Jones in 2021, before tying the knot in 2022 in front of their family and friends in a gorgeous ceremony in Cheshire.

Posting a photo of him and Steph beaming, while their two older children excitedly pose next to their new baby, Danny wrote: “Welcome Vincent Miller. Born 10/07/25, Weighing 8lb 8oz. We could not be happier with our family of 5”.

In just a few weeks time, the worlds of ITV soaps Emmerdale and Coronation Street will collide for one night only as beloved characters will merge for the one-hour episode. Now, the cast have been confirmed for both soaps and Danny was one of the first to be announced alongside Corrie’s Vicky Myers (DS Lisa Swain).

On Tuesday (December 16), the stars arrived on the red carpet at the National Science and Media Museum, Bradford. Danny appeared with Ryan Hawley by his side who plays his on-screen partner, Robert Sugden.

The actor took to his Instagram following the Corriedale premiere and wrote: “WOW!!! We had the pleasure of a ‘CorrieDale’ screening today and I honestly can’t wait for the fans of both shows to see this episode.. INCREDIBLE! Continuing drama at its absolute pinnacle”.

Showing support for her husband ahead of the explosive episode, Steph then commented under the post and gushed: “Proud of you” followed by a heart emoji.

At the time of the announcement, Danny said: “I am made up that Aaron is in the Corriedale episode. Originally from Manchester, Coronation Street has always been an iconic show in our house just as much as Emmerdale.

“So to cross them both over is a great idea. The night shoots have been full on with having young kids but a lot of fun and it’s been great working with the Corrie team.

“I can’t wait to see how the episode plays out with the separate storylines from both Emmerdale and Corrie.” He added: “It’s going to be epic and every soap fans dream!”
