Emmerdale star Kevin Mathurin responds to Corriedale death – and spots a “vacancy”

Emmerdale‘s Kevin Mathurin teased that he could make the move to Coronation Street following the death of Billy Mayhew in Corriedale.

The eagerly anticipated crossover episode saw the two soaps unite in one explosive storyline featuring a deadly car crash that claimed the life of a beloved Corrie character.

Many lives were left hanging in the balance in the stunt, including Billy, after he became trapped in his vehicle. While everyone else managed to free themselves, and with Theo Silverton choosing not to help Billy, he died in the blazing minibus.

His death has been a big talking point among fans devastated by the loss, but Emmerdale star Kevin sees one silver lining in it.

The actor joined Emmerdale in 2020 as vicar Charles Anderson, and while he has settled into life in the Dales with ease, he jokingly posted to Instagram that Corrie now has a “vacancy” for a new vicar.
