If, for some reason, we disagree with the top vote-getter, we highlight both our pick and the fans’ pick. This month, however, the voters and SON are clearly on the same page!

GH’s Katelyn MacMullen received the highest amount of votes. That’s clearly because she has been every bit as entertaining to watch with this new storyline.

While we may not agree with Willow’s actions or methods, we’re loving every single twist this story has to offer. It’s juicy. It’s entertaining. And it’s one for the books.

What Willow Did on General Hospital

Who would’ve guessed that sweet, seemingly innocent Willow would turn out to be an attempted murderer — of her very own husband, at that? Well, some viewers guessed it. Others, not so much.

As Willow’s trial heated up and she took the stand, fans finally learned the truth about who shot Drew Cain. The reveal came through flashbacks, but watching Willow testify was where the real magic happened.

Seeing her lie through her teeth while replaying the moment she took Edward’s gun and went after Drew was gripping television.

That combination of writing, directing, and acting? Flawless.

Willow appeared more heartless than ever (at least to viewers), but underneath it all, we could understand her motives. After all, this man cost her her children, slept with her mom, and was slowly becoming the scum of the earth — not just to her, but to a long list of people in Port Charles, might we add.

Then came the moment that truly sealed the deal.

Katelyn MacMullen Delivers Outstanding Performance

Fresh off being found not guilty, Willow returned home and toasted her future with Drew. For a split second, it felt like the chaos might finally be over. And then she plunged a syringe into his neck and calmly watched him collapse to the floor.

That was the moment many GH fans realized Willow may not stop until Drew is completely out of her life for good.

What followed only made it more chilling.

Willow rushed Drew to the hospital, playing the role of the distraught, devoted wife to perfection. The tears. The concern. The promises to do better. And just as quickly, she disposed of the evidence that could have tied her to Drew’s medical emergency.

It was calculated. It was unsettling. And it was incredibly well played.

We may not agree with Willow’s actions. But Katelyn, on the other hand, is a different story — she’s been pulling this off like a true champ. She deserves nothing but praise. She plays the emotional beats so well, and every single beat of the story, she’s got it down to a T.  Every look, every pause, every breakdown landed exactly where it needed to.

This is why we watch soaps.

We love when actors give us what we live for: those edge-of-your-seat, outstanding performances that keep you on your toes — or glued to your living room couch — just waiting for the next episode. Katelyn MacMullen did that. She came. She conquered. And she made January unforgettable. She is the Star of the Month. Congrats!
