‘General Hospital’ spoilers pose the question: Should Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) threaten to turn Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) in for the attempted murder of her husband, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), rather than succumbing to her blackmail?

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Alexis Needs to Speak Up for Herself

Alexis could easily tell Willow that she knows exactly what she did. Willow shot Drew, and now she’s trying to pin the crime on her ex-husband, and the father of her children, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).

Willow has proven herself to be just as much of a manipulator as Drew. It’s difficult to imagine the formerly sugary-sweet third-grade schoolteacher and the Willow Tait we all thought we knew using a child to her advantage.

Willow threatened not to allow Alexis to see her granddaughter, Scout Cain (Cosette Abinate) if she refused to represent her once again.

She’s fighting Michael for custody of Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Serenity and Sequioa Mork Macko).

Alexis could have told Willow the truth that she knew she shot Drew. She should have let her know that she was not one to be bullied. Instead, she went along with Willow’s blatant blackmail and agreed to represent her in court once again.

We have to wonder how Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will feel about Alexis being Willow’s custody attorney. Alexis will have to, once again, explain she’s being blackmailed.

Not to mention, it’s difficult to see a Cassadine, our Natasha, no less, be threatened by Willow’s calculated and excessively desperate methods to bully Alexis into being her lawyer.

Alexis actually has more power in this situation than she realizes. She should explain to Willow that she knows about the ringtone that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) know belongs to Willow, which they heard the night she shot Drew. It would certainly be enough to implicate her.

Not to mention, we have yet to see Drew wake up from his ill-fated stab in the neck with a needle, courtesy of his “loving wife,” Willow. However, knowing Drew, he’ll likely use it as a reason to coerce Willow into staying with him. That is, if he ever recovers.

Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) already suspects that Willow may have caused Drew’s stroke. That said, an innocent man could not only lose his children, but Michael could also go to prison for a crime he didn’t commit.

Personally, I would like to see Alexis embrace her inner Cassadine and stand up to Willow’s demands. It’s either that or Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) needs to come back from the dead to reclaim her child. Why not? Everyone else is returning from the grave.

Alexis may end up losing Scout to Willow even if she wins her case. That seems to be the way Drew and Willow roll. She has an ace up her sleeve against Willow, but she’s clearly too afraid to use it.

Alexis seems more exhausted by Willow and Drew’s shenanigans than she does outraged, which shouldn’t be the case.

It’s strange to see strong-willed, confident Alexis being backed into this corner, and she’s not even trying to find a way out. Hopefully, Alexis finds her backbone soon. After all, Michael may be the one who pays the highest price.
