Gabi walks in on Philip in his and Xander’s office, and he snaps his laptop shut in record speed. She prods him until Philip bursts out that it was a Valentine’s Day surprise; he was hoping they could go away for the weekend. But the look on his face when they hug is screaming: Lie!
He suggests Miami and it’s a Valentine’s Day date! Gabi, though, dropped by to ask him a favor: Call Vivian. Nope! That’s the one thing he can’t do. They haven’t been on speaking terms since — he can’t quite tell her about the forgery, but it doesn’t matter because she knows anyway. He just says they had a falling out.
Dimitri Vows to Destroy Gwen
Dimitri gets tired of finding seductive poses alone in Leo’s bed waiting for him and flips a wedding photo of Javi and Leo down. Wait, when did they get the wedding photos and frame them?
Gwen’s served divorce papers at home, then just as Dimitri shows up, he gets his own divorce papers served. (Now that’s working smarter, not harder.) When Dimitri gets inside, the spouses rehash how much he hurt her again, and he finally admits he did feel guilty. But not anymore!

Their fight reaches a fever pitch until Gwen warns him that no one, at all, anywhere, believes his “story” that she kidnapped him — then tears up his divorce papers. Dimitri loses it and vows that he’s going back to Alamainia, he’s going to find the estate he was held on and he’ll find a trail leading back to her. “Your life, as you know it, is over!”
Vivian plays innocent when Eli and Rafe bring the tablet back “from the guest room at the end of the hall.” No one’s been there since… Dimitri! Well, that was easy to spin. She claims he was staying there with nowhere to turn as Stefan was dying and she just couldn’t muster the strength to protest. She finally got tired of him and booted him out once her boy was gone.

They check with the staff and they all confirm her story — as does Nicholas Alamain! There’s a name we haven’t heard in ages. Outside, Rafe finds the whole Dimitri tale fishy, so they arrange to meet with a disgruntled former employee, Lydia Bower.
She shows up, worried that “Madame” never finds out she spoke with them. She was last working for Vivian a year ago when she was fired for breaking a tea set. But Dimitri wasn’t staying there against his will: Stefan DiMera was.
Who Kidnapped the DiMeras?
Liam drops by a very ticked off Abe to apologize for his role in Theo’s kidnapping. Abe isn’t having it. Even if Liam didn’t know what he was setting up, he figured out what was happening eventually and said nothing. Abe tells him to give the description of the guy who hired him to the cops and bug off.
