Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ unlikely villager will save Moira Dingle in huge betrayal

Emmerdale viewers are convinced the farmer will soon walk the road to freedom – and it’s all down to one man.

Emmerdale’s Moira Dingle is still sitting in prison on remand for the murders of Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) and Anya Berisha (Alia Al-Shabibi), but fans think there is hope for her release.

As fans of the ITV soap will know, local farmer Moira (Natalie J Robb) is being framed for Celia’s horrific crimes she committed with her adoptive son Ray Walters (Joe Absolom).

It was Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) who blackmailed Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) into planting evidence at Moira’s cottage in his quest to take over Butler’s Farm.

On Monday (February 9), Joe and Robert clashed after their secret role in framing Moira. But as tensions boiled over, it was businessman Joe who confidently predicted that Moira would be fine in the end.

“Moira’s banged up because of the evidence we planted,” Robert points out, as they have another furtive meeting. “Surely there’s something we can do to get her off?”

“Look, Celia and Ray, they’ve been up to their breeches in nefarious deeds, okay? They’re on form. I’m pretty sure Moira wasn’t their first victim,” Joe responded with a coy manner, before adding: “Absolutely. Look, she’ll be back in the pub, assaulting locals in no time.”

Later, Joe and Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) discussed the scheme to bring down Moira.

Graham confirmed he had watched the footage of Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) killing John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), and he wasn’t impressed with Joe using the footage as blackmail for the Sugdens to sign over their share of the farmland.

“That farm is the Sugden legacy. Robert and Victoria will fight to the death to keep it,” Graham told Joe with a stern look on his face.

Joe confirmed his grand plan to take over the farm, and in his words, “Secure a future for the family,” but Graham was unimpressed with Joe’s blackmail plot towards the Sugdens.

Graham told Joe: “If I’m to live here and be part of this future, I need to know what’s going on.”

He added, “I’ll always play for your team, but I may not always play by the same rules. “

Emmerdale fans are now convinced Graham will help Robert get Moira off the hook and find a way to secure her release from prison, which would be a major blow for Joe.

Taking to X, one person wrote: “I’d love for Graham to go against Joe #Emmerdale.”

A second stated: “Graham discovers Joe has been blackmailing Victoria and Robert… #Emmerdale.”

A third chimed in: “Robert and Graham!!! Can’t wait for Graham to change teams and take on Robert as his protégé!!! This is going to be fun!”

“Can Graham show Joe who really is Boss # Emmerdale?”, urged one fan while another penned: “I would pay for Graham to be backing Sugdens due to someone we don’t know about, hence why he watched and seemed to know about the video #Emmerdale, and yes I’m being delulu.”

Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV and ITVX
