Emmerdale star urges fans to ‘cherish every moment’ after sharing father’s dementia diagnosis

An Emmerdale star held back tears as they shared an emotional update on their father’s dementia diagnosis.

Danny Miller, who is best known for playing Aaron Dingle in the ITV soap, took to Instagram on Tuesday (24 February), where he told his followers to “cherish every moment” they have with their parents.

Speaking from his car, he revealed that he had to pull over to “calm down” after visiting his father.

“If I can show a side of my vulnerability and my experience with dementia, then maybe someone else will want to speak out about it or another illness that has taken your mum or dad away from you,” he added.

Emmerdale’s Cain faces farm exit as Graham makes huge demand

Emmerdale’s Graham Foster makes a desperate plea to Cain Dingle next week – urging him to see that it’s time for his wife Moira to sell the farm. With the ongoing crisis getting worse by the day, will Cain agree?

Graham is currently facing divided loyalties between Cain and Joe Tate. While he sympathises with Cain’s predicament – amid his secret cancer diagnosis and Moira’s imprisonment – Graham’s priority remains following Joe’s orders.

Next week, Cain gets close to breaking point when he learns that Joe has arranged a herd inspection at Butler’s. Joe explains that he’s taking action to deal with a suspected TB case, but it will put the farm at a standstill until they receive the all-clear.

“Joe is able to call the shots after buying Robert and Victoria’s share of the business,” our Emmerdale source explains. “It’s yet another power move to illustrate that he intends to make life as difficult as possible.

“Joe reminds Cain that he’s happy to take full control of the farm by purchasing Moira’s share next. When Cain stays silent rather than arguing about it, Joe senses that he’s making progress.”

Moira’s son Matty Barton steps in by insisting that the family must keep the farm going while his mum is in prison. However, with few others speaking up, he seems to be a lone voice.

Meanwhile, Liam Cavanagh offers advice of a different kind as he encourages Cain to be more honest with his loved ones regarding his prostate cancer diagnosis.

Liam calls out Cain for stealing cars with his granddaughter Sarah to make some fast cash, pointing out that it’s evidence his current approach isn’t working.

“Liam warns that Cain is missing out on support and guidance from the full Dingle clan,” our insider continues. “As far as he’s concerned, Cain doesn’t need to break the law to solve his problems when he could have a small army of Dingles fighting his corner.”

Sarah echoes these sentiments, branding Cain a coward for being unable to open up to their family.

As Cain bitterly reflects on the farm crisis, his illness and Moira’s absence from the village, Graham picks this moment to pay him a visit.

Graham declares that selling up is Cain’s best course of action, but is Cain prepared to listen?

“Cain giving up the fight for Butler’s would certainly keep Joe happy for a while,” our spy adds. “But Graham also genuinely thinks that it’s in Cain’s own best interests after everything that has happened. Even if Cain agrees, though, could he ever get Moira over the line?”

Emmerdale reveals whether Vinny and Lewis are over – after surprising scene

Emmerdale spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on ITV1 and stream on ITVX and YouTube.

Emmerdale saw Vinny Dingle and Lewis Barton get together this week, finally sharing a kiss after plenty of build-up. But tonight’s episode showed them at risk of hitting the rocks already. Are they really over before they really began?

The latest instalment opened with Kammy Hadiq popping over to the Barton house and congratulating his mate on having “finally smashed your way out of the friend zone” — a term that Ross wasn’t a fan off. Their conversation was interrupted though when Lewis walked into the living room and promptly left the house without saying more than a few words

Vinny, who had just beamed about how he felt like he finally felt like he understood who he was, looked completely deflated.

Kammy and Vinny then turned up to the café looking for Lewis, but Nicola King told them he was on a stock run, before prying for the gossip.

They didn’t say anything to her, but after she went off to make drinks, Vinny confided in Kammy about how confused he felt after the morning.

“It looks like he regrets it,” Vinny bemoaned, but Kammy said it was “just Lewis being Lewis” and that if he wants to know exactly what’s going on, he just needs to ask.

“I’m not sure I’ll like the answer,” Vinny said.

Later on, Vinny found Ross and Lewis playing pool and asked outright if he regretted the last night because of the way he left in the morning. He wondered if it was down to his lack of experience with other men.

Lewis explained that he really was late for work and that was taking up all his focus, explaining: “That’s the way I work.”

After the misunderstanding, the pair admitted that they were “google-eyed” over each other, and shared another kiss. It looks like the couple are officially back on!

Lewis actor Bradley Riches has been sharing the praise from fans about the scenes on social media wrote on Twitter/X: “AUTISM REP IN RELATIONSHIPS IS SO IMPORTANT.”

He also feels the fan name for the couple should be ‘Lenny’, so we guess that’s official now?
