Emmerdale legend Charley Webb pictured in exciting new role
Take a look at Emmerdale legend Charley Webb like you probably never seen her have before.
Charley Webb, 38, is known to millions of Emmerdale fans as Debbie Dingle in the ITV soap. She has appeared in nearly 2,000 episodes of the show. Charley was last seen as Debbie, in Emmerdale, back in 2021.
Since her exit, Charley has appeared in TV shows The Last Shadow and Better as well as on the stage in production Quiz – the play based on the infamous Who Wants to be a Millionaire? cough scandal.
Charley is currently enjoying a theatre role in The Ladies Football Club. She is appearing as part of the cast in the world premiere stage adaptation of The Ladies Football Club by Stefano Massini. It is being presented at The Crucible Theatre in Sheffield – the play will run until Saturday, March 28. You can find out more and buy tickets here.
Set at a time when the First World War forced men onto the front line to fight, the women of Sheffield take their place in the factories, constructing the bombs and the bullets.
When they start kicking a football around on their lunch breaks, audiences will see it soon becomes clear that it’s not just positions on a factory floor these women can fill – it’s on the football pitch too.
