Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale fans see a potential new friendship begin to blossom next week, as Chas Dingle and Kim Tate finally find common ground.

There’s been no love lost between the two women over the years, and Chas has good reason to despise Kim for that Tate takeover of Butlers Farm.

However, despite their family feud affecting every part of the village, Chas is surprised when she and Kim start talking over drinks at The Woolpack and the conversation doesn’t end in flying fur.

Instead, it looks like these formidable women might have found something to like about each other.

“When you look at their history, it’s mad to think that Chas and Kim would ever give each other the time of day,” our Emmerdale insider teases.

“Let’s not forget that Chas’s mum Faith pushed Kim off a balcony a few years back.

“However, they are both strong women trying to contend with the difficult men in their lives, which is something they can admire in each other.”

Will Kim and Chas’s peace offering over drinks be a flash in the pan, or is this the beginning of a beautiful friendship?

It’s certainly been a rocky road getting to this point. Just last week, Kim arrived at The Woolpack following the Butlers Farm sale and tried to wave the white flag to avoid a full-blown feud.

The Home Farm queen was outraged when Chas snubbed her, suggesting that she should take her custom elsewhere after the Tate family’s games.

Things were no better yesterday as Kim crossed paths with Chas at the local shop, expressing concern about Paddy Dingle and Dylan Penders after their arrests. Once again, Chas gave Kim the cold shoulder.

“Kim is frustrated that she’s taking so much of the blame for what happened,” our spy adds. “Her agreement with Moira over the future of Butlers was a legitimate business deal, as Moira was making the best move for her family.

“Of course, Joe has crossed the line more than a few times – but Kim largely stayed out of it.”

Is Chas about to realise that Kim isn’t all bad?
