General Hospital Moments to Watch September 29-October 3

Soap icon Erika Slezak’s brief stint on General Hospital has wrapped just as she made her on-screen debut.

As Parade reported earlier this summer, Slezak joined General Hospital for a limited run in a mysterious role. It turns out that run was a lot more limited than fans expected.

One Life to Live Alum Erika Slezak is Done At General Hospital

The talented actress used her Erika Slezak Fan Club to share that she was headed back home to the East Coast after a wonderful time filming the ABC soap in Los Angeles.

“The past three weeks have been an incredible yet exhausting journey. I worked every day with amazing, friendly, and lovely people—not just the actors, but everyone involved, from the hair and make-up team,” she began her message.

Slezak explained that it was great to reunite with people she knew during her One Life to Live days, including crew members, security guards, and some of her former co-stars. She was welcomed with open arms, which made all the difference for the soap legend.

“Reconnecting with Chris McKenna (my Joey) and his lovely family was wonderful. Seeing Marianne, Chris’s mom, was a special moment, and it was a delightful surprise to see Jessica Tuck. Spending time with Tuc Watkins and his children, as well as with Roger Howarth, provided a wonderful break,” Slezak expressed.

“A very special thank you to Jane Elliot, who was as wonderful, delightful, and challenging to work with as I had imagined. She’s positively brilliant!” Slezak expressed.

General Hospital executive producer Frank Valentini also got mad props from the actress. Slezak worked with him on One Life to Live and referred to him as “the boss” and a “dear friend” for decades.

The soap star ended the fan club message by saying, “Working on GH was a wonderful experience. ” Slezak also encouraged fans to tune in to see how she shakes things up in Port Charles for a very brief time.
