5 Emmerdale spoilers with Charity’s baby bombshell, Vinny and Lewis share a moment and police arrive in the village
Another week of drama is set to unfold in the Dales
The residents of Emmerdale must find themselves walking on eggshells or frightened to turn the corner with the drama that has unfolded this year so far.

As the village reaches October, there’s still plenty more fireworks awaiting the villagers. Even with John Sugden’s reign of terror behind him, Mackenzie Boyd still has no idea that his life could crumble once again if Charity tells him that she was unfaithful.
Gabby and Vinny managed to say “I do”, but both are harbouring secrets that could cause their marriage to reach a dead end.
Finally, now that Robert Sugden’s husband Kev has arrived in the village, are Robron off the table for good?
Charity receives a baby bombshell…

Under pressure from Ross, Charity covertly chases up the results of her paternity test. She’s guilty to see how excited Sarah and Jacob are over the impending arrival of their child. Charity’s guilt increases when Mack plans a spontaneous romantic date. Later, Chas is suspicious when she finds Charity looking extremely worried in the Woolpack.
Chas is stunned when Charity reveals the child she is carrying for Sarah and Jacob is actually her and Ross’. Knowing this will destroy both her relationship with Sarah and her marriage, Charity can’t face admitting the truth to anyone else. Chas encourages her to do it sooner rather than later.
Charity decides to book a termination as she prepares to deal with her problem all on her own. Meanwhile, Sarah can’t contain her delight as a letter has arrived confirming the date of a scan. Whilst Charity is sheepish – knowing she’s secretly booked a termination. Chas tries to make Charity see sense, a termination is not the answer and they argue. Later, Charity sits sobbing in her car.
Sarah makes matters worse when she hands Charity a memory box as she and Jacob have started collecting things for the baby. Sarah suggests Charity could write her own letter to the unborn baby to welcome it but she fails to spot Charity can’t stomach that idea at the moment. – Did Charity go through with it?
April leaves home…
Rhona is still apoplectic about April having almost killed her brother by dropping the pill. And she is struggling with her living with them. The family discusses April’s living arrangements. Marlon’s unsure whether to allow her to move out surely that will isolate April more, while regretful April seems resolute on staying with ‘friends’ in order to appease Rhona.
April soon confirms with Ray she’ll be taking up the offer of a room. Marlon encourages her to reconsider moving out but April remains resolute, yet April’s emotional to be leaving. Bob’s concerned to see April at the Bus Stop with a packed bag and insists she move into the B&B, she is relieved to not have to accept Ray’s offer.
Rhona and Marlon worry they’ve been too harsh with April but are awash with relief when Bob reveals she’s moved into the B&B with him. Although Ray’s annoyed.
The next day, Celia happens to walk in when Rhona and Moira are discussing April, Celia joins their conversation and bolsters Rhona’s belief she has done the right thing. Thus ensuring April stays well away from home.
Gabby and Vinny try to move on…
Gabby finds herself opening up to Vicar Charles in the absence of having her father to confide in. Vinny’s soon taken aback when Gabby arrives home with Charles in tow. She’s asked him to give them some counselling.
Vinny finally begins to open up. When Charles highlights how much the pair clearly care about each other, the atmosphere lifts and although cautious of the road ahead they are hopeful for their future. Gabby and Vinny are trying their best to be normal but Lewis can see through this and soon Vinny and Lewis are talking it through.
But Gabby is shocked to walk in on them looking close. Will Vinny and Gabby really be able to carry on with all this doubt in the middle of their marriage?
It’s a matter of King v Tate…
With Jimmy having flooded the house Nicola, Jimmy all the kids and their mayhem move in with an aghast Laurel. Within minutes Jimmy choose the solace of the pirate ship whilst Clemmie and Carl’s burgeoning relationship soon starts a war between the King’s and the Tate’s when Carl and Lucas fight at school and Nicola is having no Tate nonsense around her kids. Matters take a serious turn when the police arrive in the village.

Elsewhere in the village…
Bob’s delighted when Celia accepts his apology for what he said to her the other day, and offers to buy him a coffee. In her preoccupation with Charity’s troubles, Chas realises she neglected Liam’s anxiety surrounding his PSA test results.
Liam is unsettled to be a patient in this situation, rather than the doctor. Kammy and Belle take things to the next stage but have they acted in haste?
