GH Recap: Portia’s Pregnant, Britt Blackmails Joss And More!
On the October 7 episode of General Hospital, Tracy (Jane Elliot) went ballistic over Ronnie (Erika Slezak) inheriting Monica’s house, but the estate’s new owner did the entire Quartermaine clan a solid when she effectively blocked the PCPD from executing a search warrant of the property! Meanwhile, Gio (Giovanni Mazza) gave Emma (Braedyn Bruner) some bad news, Portia (Brook Kerr) learned she was expecting a baby — and wasn’t sure whether Curtis (Donnell Turner) or Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) was the father — and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) made a demand of Josslyn (Eden McCoy) in exchange for keeping her WSB agent status a secret! Keep on reading for all the details.
Mixed Messages
In her office, Anna informed Chase that they had to find Edward’s gun to make an arrest in the case of Drew’s shooting and sent him to check on the status of the search warrant. Emma arrived to vent to her grandmother about the kiss she’d shared with Gio, and how awkward things had been between them since, as they’d barely spoken. Realizing how smitten Emma was with their houseguest, Anna advised her granddaughter to talk to Gio rather than assume she knew how he felt. Then Chase reentered with the news that the warrant for the Quartermaine estate was ready.
Meanwhile, during a boxing lesson with Sonny at Volonino’s, Gio shared with his grandfather that he wasn’t sure if Emma really meant to kiss him or not. Fearing that Emma didn’t like him as much as he liked her, Gio asked if he could stay with Sonny, saying it was too uncomfortable to be around her. Sonny agreed to let him move in, but when Emma showed up at the gym, he made himself scarce so the duo could talk.

As Gio and Emma awkwardly chatted about Moncia’s memorial service, she told him that she would have attended with him and was hurt when Gio replied that he never would have asked that of her. Although further crushed when Gio informed her that he was moving out, Emma covered her disappointment. Across the gym, Sonny pressed Justine for details about Drew’s shooting while the attorney warmed up for a kickboxing class. While she wouldn’t share any information about the case, Justine was charmed by Sonny’s attempt to play matchmaker for Emma and Gio.
Search Party
The Quartermaine clan wasn’t sure what to make of Monica leaving the house to Ronnie. Tracy accused Ronnie of manipulating the situation, since Monica had expressed her intention to leave the residence to Michael, and was irate to learn that the will had been updated earlier in the year by Edward’s lawyer. Tracy demanded that they get in touch with the attorney, but Alexis explained that the man had since retired, and she was just executing the reading. Although Michael understood that his grandmother had wanted to provide for her sister, Tracy insisted the will was a fake.
Brook Lynn mused that maybe Monica had put Ronnie into her will when she removed Drew from it, and never spoke to any of them about her sister because she felt guilty that they were estranged. Tracy was adamant that they had no proof of a reconciliation other than Ronnie’s say-so, and when the waitress presented a stack of Monica’s letters, Tracy argued that they could have been faked. Confident that she could poke holes in Ronnie’s claim that Monica had saved her letters, too, Tracy sent Brook Lynn upstairs to try to find the correspondence in Monica’s suite.

Next, at Jason’s invitation, Ronnie explained what led to her and Monica having a falling out when her sister was married to Jeff Webber. When Ned pointed out that Monica never spoke about her past at all, Tracy accused the whole family of falling for Ronnie’s “sob story” and announced to Alexis that she was contesting the will. Unfortunately for Tracy, Alexis pointed out that she couldn’t handle that, since she wasn’t Tracy’s attorney.
As the bickering continued in the living room, Michael answered the door to find Anna, Chase, and a PCPD officer there to search for a revolver registered to Edward. Tracy wanted Alexis to put a stop to the search, but her hands were tied since, as she pointed out once again, she wasn’t Tracy’s attorney. Alexis then took off, but stopped outside the front door to call Sonny, informing him that she needed to see him and Carly right away.
Back inside, just as Tracy demanded that Ned call the family’s lawyer, Brook Lynn came downstairs, carrying a box of letters. Tracy refused to let the police search the property until the lawyer arrived, but Anna pressed on. Assuming that Michael had inherited the estate, Anna asked him to review the search warrant, but Ronnie then piped in that she was Monica’s sister and the new owner of 66 Harborview. Serving the warrant to Ronnie, Anna instructed the officer to start in the study, but Ronnie halted the search until she read the document. Ned appreciated Ronnie’s thorough read of the warrant, which was buying them time, but Tracy snarked that Ronnie was just a slow reader. Then, Ronnie noticed that warrant was written for 65 Harborview Drive, the residence across the street. Refusing to let the police search the property, Ronnie earned a modicum of respect from Tracy.

Subtle Threat
When Carly and Britt got into a tiff at Bobbie’s over the rent, Joss stepped in to tell her mom to back off, worried that Britt would blab about her status as a WSB agent. Under the guise that Britt saved her from being killed by Heather Webber, Joss said that they will always be aware of their debt to Britt — the double meaning clear between Josslyn and Britt that she was really speaking about Croatia. After Britt left, Carly conceded that Britt got under her skin so much because of the doctor’s past with Jason. Not only was she angry that Britt let Jason believe she’d died, but Carly blamed Dr. Westbourne for her best friend’s trouble with the FBI, which began when he “died” trying to help Britt rescue Obrecht on Cassadine Island. Carly insisted that she needed to protect her best friend. Joss wondered if her mom was jealous of Britt, but Carly insisted that wasn’t the case. Rather, she contended, she had a feeling that something had happened while Jason was off searching for Britt and couldn’t understand why he won’t confide in her. Josslyn got uncomfortable when Carly said she had faith that Jason would eventually tell her what he was keeping and made an excuse to leave.

Later, Sonny and Carly anxiously waited for Alexis to get to the restaurant. Once she arrived, Alexis told them that the police had issued a search warrant at the Quartermaines to look for Edward’s revolver, which she suspected was the gun used to shoot Drew. Saying that she’d called them as a parent, not as a lawyer, Alexis shared her concern that the police were closing in on Michael. She told Sonny and Carly that if they had evidence to exonerate their son, they needed to produce it.
Pregnant Pause
Having nearly fainted while in her office with Elizabeth, Portia brushed off her dizzy spell as nothing more than stress but was horrified to realize that she was likely pregnant — and wasn’t sure if Curtis or Isaiah was the father! Meanwhile, Isaiah intercepted Curtis on his way to Drew’s room. The doctor urged Curtis to not take advantage of his wife’s position as chief of staff by confronting a patient over personal beef. Britt broke up the tense conversation before the argument escalated to give Isaiah a file of scans, then warned Curtis that Drew was a high-profile and extremely litigious patient and causing the congressman to have any sort of setback would put the hospital in a bad position. Returning to the hub from Portia’s office, Elizabeth chided Britt for not being in the emergency room, then questioned Curtis about the fight Britt claimed she broke up.

Isaiah went to Portia’s office to let her know that he had gotten into an argument with Curtis about Drew. Not happy that Isaiah confronted her husband on her behalf, Portia asked him to avoid interacting with Curtis moving forward. After he left so she could get back to work, Portia pulled a pregnancy test out of her coat pocket. After taking the test in her office bathroom, she placed the stick on her desk to anxiously await the results. Just as she saw that the test was positive, Curtis arrived at her door.
Later, Isaiah shared with Liz that he was tired of watching Curtis “throw his weight around” to get what he wants, and Elizabeth warned him not to blur boundaries with his boss and get too involved in Portia’s life.
Downstairs in the ER, Joss tracked down Britt, revealing that she received the message loud and clear. In exchange for her silence, Britt demanded a suite at the Metro Court Hotel.
