Y&R Best Moments From October 6-10

The Young and the Restless continued to bring the drama during the week of October 6-10. From business confrontations to former lovers sharing scenes, here’s a look at a few memorable moments.

Key Takeaways

  • Nick and Sharon planned a trip.
  • Phyllis proved she’s a tougher opponent than Cane.
  • Nikki expressed gratitude to Jill.
  • Daniel received love advice.

Shick’s Next Adventure

It’s always a good moment whenever Shick is together. This week, Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) planned their next getaway. The exes were going to see Noah (Lucas Adams) again, this time in Los Angeles, where he’s opening a new club. Although Nick’s flight would be delayed because of Newman family business, he promised Sharon he’d be there.

The show has been hinting at a Shick reunion for some time, and it could finally be happening. Sharon and Nick’s latest scenes, along with their trip to California, might ignite the long-awaited Shick reunion.

Nikki Is Thankful

This week, Jill (Jess Walton) was summoned to the Newman ranch by Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). As expected, the two got into a heated argument about Cane (Billy Flynn). But prior to that, the rivals shared a heartwarming moment.

Nikki thanked Jill for the Chancellor and said running Katherine’s (Jeanne Cooper) company means the world to her. Jill smiled as Nikki talked about their late friend, and Jill’s sometime rival. Jill commended Nikki on her work with Chancellor and said Katherine would be proud. Nikki and Jill reminiscing about Katherine was a nice, sentimental touch for Tuesday’s dramatic episode.

Victor Meets His Match

Victor (Eric Braeden) is trying to stay on top in his battle with Cane. But it might be Cane’s business partner, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), that he should worry about. During a recent run-in at Society, the two couldn’t resist trading barbs.

The Moustache warned Phyllis that teaming with Cane was a bad idea, and their downfall is coming. However, Victor failed to rattle Phyllis, who fired back with her own accusations. She accused Victor of being scared because Cane’s a legitimate threat. She then warned that Victor’s days at the top are over, as she and Cane are taking over his spot. While Victor is confident he’ll win the war, Phyllis’ words might have him shaking in his boots.

Motherly Advice

Phyllis landed herself in two top Y&R moments this week. After her run-in with Victor, Phyllis met with Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and immediately wound up her son. Phyllis mentioned Daniel’s feelings for Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), which he denied. But Phyllis knows her son is in love because of the way he lights up around Tessa.

Daniel kept repeating that he and Tessa are just friends, and he’s offering support during Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) crisis. Phyllis advised him that he’s going to get hurt because of his unrequited love for Tessa, and it’s time to cut her loose. An annoyed Daniel told his mom to stay out of his life because he could handle everything.

Although Phyllis’ meddling often irritates fans, this is one instance where it came in handy. While Daniel isn’t listening to his mom’s advice, he’ll wish he had in the long run.
