‘General Hospital’ wins big at Daytime Emmy Awards gala

Nancy Lee Grahn earned the Best Actress prize, while Jonathan Jackson went home with the statuette for Best Supporting Actor and Alley Mills won for Best Guest Performance. The series also won for Best Writing, Best Directing and Best Costume Design/Styling.
The Best Actor prize went to Paul Telfer for Days of Our Lives, Susan Walters was presented with the Best Supporting Actress award for The Young and the Restless and Lisa Yamada won for Best Emerging Talent for The Bold and the Beautiful.

Drew Barrymore was named Best Talk Show Host, Live with Kelly and Mark was voted Best Daytime Talk Show, Entertainment Tonight won for Best Entertainment News Show, Chasing Flavor with Carla Hall won for Best Culinary Cultural Show, Delicious Miss Brown won for Best Culinary Instruction Show and Hot Bench won for Best Legal/Courtroom Show.
David Attenborough, 99, won the Emmy for Best Daytime Personality — Non-Daily for Secret Lives of Orangutans. He made Emmys history by becoming the oldest person to win the prize.
