General Hospital star Scarlett Spears (who plays Donna) has been keeping a major secret—the eight-year-old landed the role of young Glinda in Wicked: For Good.

A new trailer for the film revealed Spears’ role, and though fans have only seen the trailer thus far, the General Hospital audience won’t be surprised to know that Spears is a perfect little Glinda.

Don’t take our word for it, though. After the new trailer dropped, Ariana Grande took to social media to gush over and praise the talented young actress.

Taking to Instagram, Grande shared a black and white photo of her and Spears, both in character. Spears can be seen grinning from ear to ear, while Grande’s back faces the camera as she embraces her in a tight hug. It’s a photo that tugs at the heartstrings, for sure.

“my tiny girl in the bubble, played by the wonderful and talented @miss.scarlett.brielle 🫧 thank you for your beautiful work and for allowing the world to understand our Galinda more deeply than ever before.. ♡ i adore you so,” Grande wrote as the caption on her social media share.

The Spears family’s Instagram, run by Scarlett’s mom, took to the comments to reply to the “Stuck With U” singer, writing, “We love you SO much @arianagrande – what an HONOR it is to be part of your world. We love you, endlessly. Thank you for making this little girls dream come true. 🩷🫧👑✨🥹.”

Grande also used her Instagram Stories to share the trailer, writing, “crying,  introducing the very wonderful and talented @miss.scarlett.brielle as young Glinda I love you.”

The Spears family also shared the Wicked announcement on Scarlett’s social media page.

“We love you Forever, @arianagrande 🩷🫧👑✨ Thank you for believing in my little girl. Dreams do come true 🥹🥹 #soblessed,” the caption read.

General Hospitalfans already know that Spears is beyond talented after watching her on the show since 2021. The young star won fans over quickly, playing the funny, witty and entertaining Donna, the daughter of Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright).

Spears is already a star in the soap world, but her role in Wicked is only going to make her more in demand. Here’s hoping we don’t lose her on the ABC soap!

Wicked: For Good will be released in theaters on Friday, November 21.

General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
