Cary Christopher Reveals When He Exits as Thomas DiMera on Days of our Lives

To say that young actor Cary Christopher is in demand is an understatement with multiple TV and film projects about to premiere or in the works. However, now it’s time to prepare to say goodbye to Cary on Days of our Lives as his nearly six-year run as Thomas DiMera is about to come to an end.

Since Days of our Lives tapes 10 months ahead, Cary left the Peacock streaming soap opera last year. Now in an update on his Facebook page on Sunday, January 18, Christopher says February will mark his on-screen exit as Chad’s (Billy Flynn, soon to be Conner Floyd) son.

“My last appearance on Days of our Lives will be next month/ I have 3 more episodes as Thomas DiMera,” the next on January 21st,” shared Cary. “It’s been such a great ride! Please welcome the new Thomas with open arms, and on January 25th my new show, It’s Not Like That, premieres. think you will absolutely love it. And right now I am in Berlin working on an exciting new project.”

DAYS viewers can look for the new Thomas to debut in April. In the meantime, you can check out Cary Christopher in his new series he mentioned, It’s Not Like That on Amazon Prime starring Scott Foley in the faith-based drama.

The loglines for It’s Not Like That follows Lori (Erinn Hayes), who is freshly divorced with two teens. Malcolm’s (Foley) a minister and recently widowed dad of three. Their families once did everything together, but now Lori and Malcolm must navigate their newly minted singledom, parenthood and the complexities of Malcolm being a modern-day minister. Is this the beginning of a love story? It’s not like that. Or is it?”

Christopher was recently nominated for a Critics Choice Award for his role in the motion picture Weapons, in which he is getting major recognition. Coming up, and as previously reported, Cary will be featured in Jonah Hill’s new AppleTV+ film, Outcome which also stars Susan Lucci (ex-Erika Kane, All My Children).

The young actor’s breakout role came at the age of three in streaming series Mr. Mom. He then went on to play Thomas DiMera on Days of Our Lives, at then four-years-old and earning a 2023 Daytime Emmy nomination along the way for his performances.
