But who can you expect to see in the special?

A soap cross-over is set to bring together some of the biggest names from Coronation Street and Emmerdale. Stars from ITV’s major shows are set to appear in the special episode.

Viewers will get to see plenty of their favourites from Weatherfield and the titular Yorkshire Dales village meet on screen. Forget the new Avengers movie, this is the biggest colliding of worlds in 2026.

But who can you expect to appear in the special? Here’s all you need to know:

Who is in the cast of Corriedale?

The cross-over event is set to feature plenty of the names you know and love from both of ITV’s major soaps. There will be huge stars from both Corrie and Emmerdale as the worlds collide tonight (January 5).

Just before Christmas, ITV released a trailer for the special cross-over, which gave fans a hint of what to expect from the major event.

In the aftermath of a multiple vehicle smash Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) takes control of the situation whilst a frantic Carla Connor (Alison King) can be seen trying to calm someone down.

Injured Shona and David Platt (Julia Goulding and Jack P Shepherd) are tended to at the roadside by Emmerdale paramedic Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant), whilst Corrie’s own trainee paramedic Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) shares the screen with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) as she tries to help more casualties.

Both shows have pregnant women caught up in the drama, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) can be seen trying to help a screaming Shona in a scene in Hotton General Hospital.

And as the trailer draws to a close Kevin and Abi Webster (Michael Le Vell and Sally Carman-Duttine) search for Debbie at the crash site, while a desperate Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) screams out for Aaron in the darkness alongside Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).

The hour long Corriedale episode will air at 8pm today (January 5) – it will not be dropped earlier in the day on ITVX. It is set to be broadcast on ITV1 and is followed by Red Eye.
