It appears that Holly’s skin supplements were exchanged for psycho pills, and things are about to get extremely chaotic in Salem.

Just When You Think Sophia Can’t Stoop Lower, She Does It

Just when you think Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) can’t go any lower, she surprises you-she’s undermining Holly while pretending to be friendly.

Now, she plans to sit back and watch Holly’s life unravel-it appears that the doctors and nurses at Bayview aren’t paying enough attention to the patients.

Not only has Sophia been sneaking out with some help from Rachel Black (Alice Halsey), but she’s also hoarding her psychiatric medications and is about to frame Holly for a major situation.

We all suspected trouble when Sophia asked Dr. Kim Gregory (Kim Hawthorne) to invite Holly back to Bayview.

Sophia was clearly agitated watching Arianna Hernandez Horton (Marissa Reyes) and Holly discuss their exciting plans for rush week, which included morning smoothies and Holly’s supplements.

There Are Several Reasons Sophia’s Being Affected In This Way
This is affecting Sophia for several reasons. Firstly, she had a strong desire to attend college, but her overbearing mother, Amy Choi (Shi Ni Nielson), wanted her to forgo that education, marry, and raise her child with Tate Black (Leo Howard).

With their baby now adopted, Sophia should have been free to chase her academic goals-instead of being a college freshman like her peers at Salem U, she finds herself stuck at Bayview.

It’s likely not helping that she’s not taking all her prescribed medications, as she had a stash to mix into Holly’s supplement bottle; the medications seem quite potent based on the promo.

We all know Sophia has been targeting Holly since their junior year at Salem High because she had a crush on Tate, believing he liked her.

Tate And Holly Were Secretly Dating, And Tate Was Stringing Sophia Along

However, Tate and Holly were secretly dating and deceiving everyone; Tate was stringing Sophia along, while Holly was manipulating Aaron Greene (Louis Tomeo) in a similar fashion.

The reason was that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) opposed Tate dating Holly after she allowed him to be arrested and accused him of her overdose-Holly Jonas was the party girl who took pills, while Tate was completely innocent; however, Holly was prepared to let Tate take the fall for her error.

It was no surprise that the parents disapproved of their relationship. When the truth emerged, Sophia felt heartbroken for being deceived and misled.

Sophia Had A Chance With Tate, But He Still Had Feelings For Holly

Then Sophia actually got a chance with Tate, but he still had feelings for Holly, which made things complicated quickly-eventually, Sophia found out she was pregnant. Now, Tate and Holly are closer than ever, and naturally, Sophia despises that-she hasn’t abandoned the thought of winning Tate back from Holly. First, she needs to eliminate Holly and clear her path, and Sophia has devised a wicked new plan.

Honestly, it seems just as terrible as when she pretended to be pregnant and orchestrated that fake adoption scheme.

Dr. Kim Gregory might require more training because her psychiatric patients are outsmarting her-she appears unaware of their plotting and scheming; the therapist still doesn’t realize that Sophia can genuinely speak.

The Supplement Switcheroo And The Danger of Stolen Meds

Despite Sophia attempting to slap Holly during her last visit, as soon as Sophia requested a redo, Dr. Gregory arranged a second meeting.

On the surface, it looked like The Supplement Switcheroo and the Danger of Pilfered Meds. It seems Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) is correct; Rachel likely needs to be in a more suitable psychiatric facility.

Sophia definitely requires a place with better security that monitors patients more closely because she is quite the sly one-once Sophia watched Ari and Holly’s video about Rush, her mind began to race.

After a fake apology to Holly and asking for one in return, we witnessed Sophia accidentally knock Holly’s bag to the ground, causing everything to spill out.

Sophia Got Lucky

Sophia was quite fortunate because Holly happened to have her skin supplement bottle with her-this allowed Sophia to take Holly’s bottle, conceal it, and then refill it with stolen psych meds.

This isn’t the first time Sophia has played tricks on Holly like this-remember, Sophia got Holly extremely drunk—so much so that she nearly perished in a dorm room candle fire. Sophia will ensure Holly gets her bottle back.

If Holly were wise, she’d dispose of the supplements and get new ones since they’re no longer safe. But we all know Sophia will likely evade consequences for a while.

Tate Gets Frustrated At Holly’s Temper Tantrum

The lengthy winter promo depicted Tate getting quite frustrated as Holly began yelling and berating him at the Brady Pub. Holly Jonas confronted Tate, claiming he believes everything is fine when it’s not; later, Ari attempted to reach out to Holly, but that didn’t go well either.

Ari pointed out that Holly is behaving differently, but that won’t deter her-the pills Sophia provided are essentially going to lead to a significant attitude shift for Holly.

Combined with the stress of participating in Rush with Ari, everyone will be left wondering what’s going on with Holly.

It’s doubtful anyone will pause to consider that Sophia drugged her; Holly might start to behave unpredictably and irrationally.

Holly Could Get Rejected By Sororities
Holly might get rejected by sororities if Sophia’s drugs make her act out at parties, so, Holly could hook up with someone else.

Most psych meds warn against alcohol-it’s expected Ari and Holly to drink during rush, which could make Sophia’s meds cause Holly to lose control. Is Sophia trying to sabotage Holly or push her to the edge to end up in Bayview?

Or worse, is she hoping Holly overdoses like before? Whatever Sophia’s plan is, it aims to break up Holly and Tate so she can have him back.
