Drew bursts into tears when he receives a final letter from Monica revealing secret | GH Spoilers

After arriving at the Quartermaine mansion, Drew discovered a sealed envelope in Monica’s handwriting—an envelope that looked like it had been waiting for the right moment to surface.

General Hospital' Fans Brace for 'End of an Era'

Monica wasn’t one for letter-writing unless it was something life-altering, and the second Drew held it in his hands, he knew this was one of those moments.

Sitting alone in the quiet living room, Drew opened the letter, his hands trembling. As Monica’s graceful words came alive on the page, it became clear this was no ordinary message.

Monica confessed to holding onto a devastating secret for years—something Alan had revealed before his death, something she had vowed to protect until the time was right.

Drew wasn’t just Jason’s twin, not just the man scarred by Helena Cassadine and Shiloh’s manipulations. He was also a father.

Years ago, a child had been born of circumstances so tangled and painful that Monica and Alan tried—and failed—to trace them.

Only recently had a private investigator uncovered the truth. That child had grown up in Port Charles… close to Drew… someone he knew, someone he trusted, someone he never imagined was his own flesh and blood.

By the time Drew reached the part of the letter where Monica revealed the name, his world shattered. The revelation—whether Jocelyn Jacks, Brook Lynn Quartermaine, or another familiar face—left him broken, sobbing into the letter as grief, betrayal, and love collided.

Monica had done what she thought was best, but for Drew, the weight of years of lies and secrecy came crashing down at once.

And just as Drew tried to steady himself, the door creaked open. Jason, Michael, or Brook Lynn entered, only to find Drew crumpled on the couch, clutching Monica’s letter, his face wet with tears. One look at him said it all—something monumental had been unleashed.

General Hospital Spoilers Fall Preview: Drew's Wild Card Return and Erika Slezak Debuts

Leslie Charleson will get a fitting tribute as the Port Charles community comes together for Monica’s farewell.

Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will be back on-screen as she mourns with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), who’ll have a letter to read from Monica.

Since Monica was ill and knew this day would come sooner rather than later, she was prepared for her demise and no doubt had some words of wisdom she wanted to pass along.

After Ned takes a moment to admire Monica’s framed photo, he’ll read her letter and eventually talk about why they’ve gathered to honor her.

Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) won’t be sure if she’ll ever be ready to truly say goodbye, but at least Monica’s memory will live on in all their hearts.

At one point, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) will come downstairs looking hungover and will ask what everyone’s standing around for.

Since Tracy left it up to the cards to decide whether she’d come home from Atlantic City, Ned will obviously get the outcome he wanted.

There’ll be some special moments in the Quartermaine mansion ahead of Monica’s service, but it’ll ultimately be time to head to the church.

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has been struggling to deal with Monica’s passing, so more emotional moments are on the way for him.

At the hospital, Drew will be dressed and ready for his release when he delivers big news.

GH spoilers say Drew will insist that he’s going to his mother’s memorial, but will someone try to talk him out of it?

Regardless, let’s hope Drew at least has the decency to avoid making a scene! Even if Drew does show up for Monica’s farewell, he needs to be respectful and try to avoid stirring the pot.

General Hospital spoilers say Monica’s service will come with plenty of tears and even some laughs, so stay tuned for updates on how it’ll all play out.
