Emmerdale actress Lucy Pargeter celebrated her birthday over the weekend with fans praising her youthful appearance

 

 

Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter, who plays the beloved Chas Dingle, marked her birthday on Sunday 1 March.


The popular actress has been a cornerstone of the ITV soap since 2002, featuring in some of the show’s most memorable and dramatic storylines throughout her tenure.


Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Lucy shared several updates to her Story to mark the occasion, including a post featuring a birthday dessert topped with an edible Happy Birthday chocolate decoration.

Devoted soap fans were equally eager to join in the celebrations, flocking to a dedicated fan page to shower the actress with warm wishes.

One follower shared a collection of photographs of Lucy spanning the years, writing: “Lucy Pargeter is 49 today. Happy Birthday Lucy.”, reports the Daily Star.


Fans flooded the comments section, left astounded by Lucy’s age as they heaped praise on her remarkably youthful appearance.

One admirer gushed: “Happy birthday lucy 49 wow you look fab!”, whilst another wrote: “Happy birthday beautiful lady have a great day” and a further fan simply declared: “Love Lucy!”.

The milestone comes as Lucy approaches an incredible 25 years portraying Chas on Emmerdale. Speaking to OK! magazine recently, the actress made clear her intention to remain on the soap indefinitely.

Lucy said: “I would like to play Chas for as long as I can. I always say, I would never choose to go anywhere, and even if they did try and boot me out or fire me, I probably would still turn up and they’d have to remove me.”

Lucy also opened up about her three daughters – Lola and twins Missy and Betsy, who she shares with former partner, Rudi Coleano.

The actress confessed: “My kids don’t watch Emmerdale… Lola, I think, did when she was little but my kids don’t watch Emmerdale.

“I did accidentally have it on in their bedroom when they were having a bath the other day and when the theme tune came on, they went: ‘Ah, mama! No, not that!'”.
