During Tuesday’s episode of the ITV soap (February 24), Joe’s plan to take over Butlers Farm continued, but Kim Tate (Claire King) soon confirmed she had seen Graham talking to Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) in the pub. She then urged Joe to test Graham’s loyalty.

Joe instructed Graham to check all the inventory at Butlers Farm, with the aim of selling it at auction. With Cain currently struggling financially, Joe reasoned that he would have no choice but to sell.

Graham headed to the farm to speak to Cain, though he and his fellow workers had their hands full with an ongoing problem involving their sheep. He said he didn’t have time to talk, but Graham demanded that Cain needed to hear what he had to say.

Later, as Cain spoke to his brother Sam Dingle (James Hooton), it became apparent that Graham had informed Cain of Joe’s cowardly plan. Cain said that they would “play him at his own game”, adding that the main aim was to keep Joe away.

Graham returned to Home Farm and informed Joe and Kim that the farm’s inventory had little value, though Joe was already well aware of what they held. As he pondered why Graham was throwing him “under the bus”, Kim chimed in that he was “driving the bus”.

Joe later questioned Graham and provided the proof that he knew Graham was lying about his trip to Butlers.

Joe subsequently remarked that he “should have stayed dead,” while Kim echoed this sentiment. However, Kim and Joe are both unaware that Graham appears to be supporting Cain after learning of his cancer diagnosis, and Moira Dingle’s (Natalie J Robb) current imprisonment.

As Graham tries to deter Joe from following through with his hell-bent plan on taking over Cain and Moira’s farm, some Emmerdale viewers are suggesting Graham is an undercover policeman and will bring Joe down.

Taking to Facebook, one soap fan suggested: “Graham is soooo not on Joe’s side at all – he’s undercover for the police, isn’t he???!!!!” A second replied: “It’s looking that way”, while a third chimed in: “I really hope so x.”

“I hope he brings them both down and helps Cain and Moira”, urged one viewer as another explained: “That would make more sense than the ridiculous story he’s telling about how he faked his death.”

However, one viewer thinks Graham is of much higher standing than a police officer, and added: “I think Graham’s higher than a police officer, possibly CI5 or similar.”
