Emmerdale aired a twist for Gabby Dingle following her wedding to Vinny

Emmerdale newlyweds Gabby and Vinny Dingle seemed like the perfect young couple after tying the knot in a heartwarming ceremony.

But during Wednesday’s (September 17) episode of the ITV soap, it wasn’t long before Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) delivered a devastating revelation.

The secret came after Gabby (Rosie Bentham) and Vinny’s (Bradley Johnson) vows didn’t go without drama as the groom was forced to confront his attacker Mike (Macaulay Cooper) after the thug had assaulted him and nicked £10,000.

Vinny had encountered Mike through an online forum whilst exploring his sexuality. However, it emerged that Mike had conned Vinny into parting with the substantial amount of money.

To prevent Mike from gatecrashing the wedding, Vinny finally found the bravery to alert the authorities whilst Gabby (Rosie Bentham) anxiously awaited her husband-to-be’s arrival, reports the Daily Star.

The blissful pair eventually walked down the aisle and also decided that Vinny should adopt Gabby’s little boy Thomas as he would make the “best dad”.

Yet just one day afterwards, Bernice disclosed that her daughter Gabby had been unfaithful to Vinny during her recent holiday to Portugal, explaining why Bernice had attempted to persuade Gabby against going through with the wedding.

Whilst intoxicated, Gabby had a one-night stand with a bloke called George in Lagos, though she believes the encounter was a “mistake”.

Following the confession of her secret, Gabby told her mum: “You know how important my marriage is to me. I don’t want to ruin it before it even gets started.”

But she received a frosty reception as Bernice declared: “Well, maybe you should have thought of that when you were in Portugal.”

“It was one, stupid, drunken mistake. I was stressed about the wedding, and those cocktails were lethal… I wish I never even went to Portugal”, Gabby told her mum.

Bernice cautioned her daughter that secrets inevitably surface and cited herself as proof.

After all the discussion between Gabby and Vinny about wanting to become a content family, some Emmerdale viewers are now convinced Gabby has fallen pregnant and Vinny won’t be the father.

Writing on Facebook, one Emmerdale viewer speculated: “Pregnant but may or may not be Vinnies that a favourite soap story line.”

Another commented: “Nope I bet she is pregnant she can’t look after Thomas full time never mind about having another 1.”

A third contributed: “She’s pregnant”, whilst another remarked: “As above Pregnant but not with Vinny.”
