Laurel Thomas received a visit from doctor Manpreet Sharma during the latest visit to Emmerdale village and fans think she’s hiding a major secret from her friend

Emmerdale fans are convinced Laurel Thomas could be pregnant.

The villager, played by Charlotte Bellamy, has been exhibiting signs of memory loss after her son Arthur Thomas pushed her during a tense argument.

Tension between the pair arose from Laurel’s lingering feelings for Ray Walters (Joe Absolom), who was killed by Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards).

Laurel had been dating Ray for a brief period, before she cut things off after she learned of the villain’s horrific criminal activity.

She had some sympathy for her former flame, who had a traumatic upbringing at the hands of the late Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths).

As Ray’s funeral took place, Laurel was sad that nobody would mourn for him.

She elected to take Bear to the chapel as Ray’s body lay in rest, though this move was criticised by Bear’s family.

Arthur also hasn’t been pleased with his mother, questioning why she still had some positive feelings for Ray after his treatment of people.

During Tuesday’s (March 3) episode, Gabby questioning Laurel over exactly what happened that night of her injury with the pair unaware Arthur was responsible.

After she had another “dizzy spell”, Gabby Thomas (Rosie. Bentham) said she would contact Dr Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker).

She came round to the house and did some tests on Laurel, though she asked Gabby and Arthur to leave as she spoke to Laurel on her own.

Laurel reasoned that she didn’t want Gabby or Arthur to worry any further but Manpreet called her out and remarked that she was hiding something and bluntly asked her friend what was truly going on.

After some pressure, Laurel concocted a story. She said that she tripped after failing to spot her Dotty’s toys and didn’t want to tell anybody in case her daughter felt bad.

Manpreet seemed to buy the excuse, but iis Laurel is covering for Arthur or is she hiding another secret?

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “I bet Laurel is pregnant with Rays baby. @ emmerdale #Emmerdale.”

Another added: “#emmerdale dear god,is she pregnant.” A third person said: “Wonder if Laurel is pregnant #Emmerdale.”

Fans will have to wait and see Laurel’s next move as she deals with her health woes.
