Emmerdale star Amy Walsh shares pregnancy announcement with famous husband in adorable way

Emmerdale star Amy Walsh has announced she is pregnant with her second child in an adorable social media post.

The actress, who is best known for playing Tracy Robinson in the ITV soap, is married to fellow actor, and former EastEnders villain, Toby-Alexander Smith.

They tied the knot in September 2023,surrounded by friends and family in Montenegro, after becoming engaged in August 2022. They also share a daughter, Bonnie, who was born in December 2021.

It was then on Tuesday (September 9) that Amy and Toby announced that their little girl was set to become a big sister as they confirmed their pregnancy joy.

Taking to Instagram, she posted a black and white video set to Nick Drake’s ‘Northern Sky’. In the clip, she could be heard telling Bonnie: “Mummy and daddy have got a special secret to tell you

She went on to say: “Mummy has got a baby in her tummy. A baby sister or brother for you,” as the video showed Amy, Toby, and Bonnie’s hands move to show a scan picture of the baby.

Amy and Toby confirmed their pregnancy news in a sweet video

Amy captioned the post: “Smith/Walsh baby 2.0 incoming 2026,” and the congratulatory messages quickly came flooding in.

Emmerdale co-star Isabel Hodgins, who is expecting her first child, said: “Gorgeous!!!!! So happy for you.” Meanwhile, Michelle Hardwick wrote: “So exciting,” and Samantha Giles shared: “So excited the news is finally out.”

Eden Taylor-Draper also posed crying face emojis before typing: “amazing news.” Coronation Street star Sair Khan replied: “Massive congratulations to you both.”

Former EastEnders actor Danny Walters wrote: “Great news”, while Amy’s sister, Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh, responded to the sweet post with just five crying-face emojis. Gogglebox star Izzi Warner also added: “Congratulations to you all.”

Amy and Toby, who played Gray Atkins on EastEnders, became first-time parents at the end of 2021 following a dramatic pregnancy and birth as Amy endured 20 hours of labour after her waters broke on Boxing Day.

Describing the experience, Amy later told OK! magazine: “I had to have an epidural as the pain was so strong. The epidural eventually kicked in a bit and then I was on gas and air, and I was laughing… We’ve got a video of me going, ‘Just make me a cocktail!’ I felt drunk – I loved it!”
