Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins’ husband shares sweet message in baby update
The actress, who has played Victoria Sugden in the ITV soap since 2006, revealed in August that she was pregnant
Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins’ husband has shared a sweet message as they prepare to welcome their first child into the world.
The actress, who has played Victoria Sugden in the ITV soap since 2006, revealed in August that she was pregnant, months after her and Adam Whitehead’s ‘perfect’ Manchester wedding.
The couple tied the knot at a fairy-tale wedding at Castlefield Rooms in the city centre in May, in a nod to their first date being “in town” and it being where they like to go out running.
The loved-up celebration was attended by a number of Isabel’s Emmerdale co-stars, including Danny Miller, Mark Jordon, Laura Norton, Jeff Hordley and Zoë Henry, while Eden Taylor-Draper was one of her bridesmaids.
Revealing her pregnancy on social media, Isabel shared a photo of herself and Adam, in which the newlyweds gazed lovingly at each other while she held onto her scan pictures.
Captioning the post, she wrote at the time: “First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes… Baby Whithead [red heart emoji].”

Isabel was four months pregnant at the time of her big announcement, and now there are only a few months to go until she and Adam will meet their bundle of joy.
Taking to Instagram, Adam shared a couple of photos to his Stories showing himself and Isabel on a autumnul walk. Alongside the post, the dad-to-be wrote: “3 months to go [baby feet emoji]. Proud of you. @isabelhodgins [heart emoji].”
When announcing her pregnancy, Isabel told OK!: “It’s something that we wanted to happen, but now it actually has, it’s weird… it’s still sinking in!”
When asked how the actress, who has portrayed Victoria in Emmerdale since she was 12 years old, revealed the wonderful news to her husband, she laughed: “He actually told me!”
“Isabel was overdue by a few days, so she took a test. But then, she just chucked it on the floor and it was upside down just lying there,” Adam explained.

“I didn’t want to look at it, as I felt it would make time go slower to stare. But Mr Impatient comes along to look at it and sees that it’s positive,” Isabel added.
