The daughter of Emmerdale actress Sammy Winward and an ex-Premier League star has announced she is pregnant with her first child but sadly she’s been estranged from the soap star

The daughter of Emmerdale star Sammy Winward hasn’t told her famous mum she’s pregnant.

Mia, 20, said in 2024 that she was cut off by soap star Sammy after she started selling snaps on Only Fans. The model seems to have been estranged from Sammy and her dad, ex footballer David Dunn, ever since.

Mia has now announced she is pregnant with her first child. However, she hasn’t told her parents about the baby following their family feud as she can’t cope with the added stress that it could bring.

Mia told The Sun: “I haven’t reached out to them yet and they don’t really know how to contact me. I am emotionally vulnerable while I’m pregnant and I really don’t want a big, stressful situation.”

She added: “Now that I have my own baby inside me, I just couldn’t imagine not speaking to my child.”

Mia has also revealed she decided to stop her Only Fans career as soon as she found out she was expecting her first child. But Mia doesn’t regret her time on the adult site, saying she had the “best year or two of my life traveling the world for shoots with amazing people”.

She now lives in the Lake District with the father of her unborn child. The pair have been in a relationship for a year but she hasn’t yet named him.

Mia said she would like to mend the relationship with her parents but admits “we’ve got a lot to work on”. She said there’s “a lot to forgive and that process hasn’t even started yet.”

But the model said that shopping for baby clothes with her actress mum “would be a lovely thing to do”. She believes that Sammy would be “an amazing grandma” and admits she wants them to be in her life as well as her child’s.

In August 2024, Mia said that it had been months since she had spoken to Sammy, who played Katie Sugden in the ITV soap from 2001 until 2015. She told The Sun at the time: “She said some pretty mean things when we did last speak, it was awful. But I absolutely love my mum, I love all of my family but none of them speak to me now.”

Mia alleged that her family had sent her “abuse” over the phone, adding: “I feel like at this point it is going to have to be them coming to me because I’ve tried to maintain contact in the past and they just don’t have any of it and then I end up getting like, all the abuse like through the phone, through text messages, calls.”

Daily Star has previously contacted Sammy’s representatives for comment.

Mia said there is one member of her family that she is still in touch with, but she’s kept their identity a secret. She has claimed her mum could be “jealous” of how well she did on Only Fans but has also said she reckons her family are being “protective” over her.
