Emmerdale will air three special standalone episodes featuring key storylines this autumn.
As the summer nights come to an end and the colder weather rolls in, Emmerdale is set to surprise viewers with three special standalone episodes focusing on “merciless” storylines.
While the nitty gritty of each episode remains under wraps for now, Emmerdale have teased what viewers can expect and which characters will be involved.
April and Marlon’s relationship, Robert’s prison past, and Bear Wolf’s whereabouts will all be under the microscope in this first for the Yorkshire-based soap.
Of course, earlier this year we’ve had April’s special episode when she ran away from home following an unexpected pregnancy, but this trio of standalone episodes is something exciting for the soap.
John Sugden’s reign of terror may be over, but it’s clear a new wave of drama is waiting to ignite…
April and Marlon struggle to connect…

Bear’s whereabouts are revealed…
When Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and Bear (Joshua Richards) found life under the same roof difficult, Bear decided to leave for another life in Ireland. He has been gone for 3 months.
Paddy believed his estranged father was safe with friends in Ireland, but when it becomes apparent he never made the journey across the Irish Sea, where did Bear disappear to?
A special standalone episode will explore the hundred missing days of Bear’s life and we’ll learn that he is sadly trapped in an all too common situation for a forgotten generation.
