Emmerdale fans have ‘worked out’ Tracy Metcalfe’s exit storyline following the news of actress Amy Walsh’s pregnancy.
Tracy first set foot in the famous Dales back in 2014. And it didn’t take the character long to get involved in some drama on the ITV soap.
From catfights to affairs, Tracy has had her fair share of big storylines. Especially in the last twelve months, following the death of husband Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter).
Fans will recall that Nate was tragically killed last year by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) who covered up the crime by dumping Nate’s body in a river.

Nate’s body was eventually discovered this year, leaving his loved ones and family devastated. However, cunning John managed to frame an innocent person.
Away from the ITV soap though, actress Amy recently shared some exciting news with fans. The TV star confirmed that she is expecting her second child with husband Toby-Alexander Smith.
Amy took to Instagram to share a monochrome video set to the tune of Nick Drake’s ‘Northern Sky’. In the touching footage, she can be heard telling Bonnie: “Mummy and daddy have got a special secret to tell you.”

She continued: “Mummy has got a baby in her tummy. A baby sister or brother for you,” as the camera panned to show a scan image of the baby held by Amy, Toby, and Bonnie. Amy captioned the post: “Smith/Walsh baby 2.0 incoming 2026.”
Now, with Amy set to take maternity leave from the soap ahead of welcoming her child, fans have ‘rumbled’ how her character leaves the Dales – and it’s not looking good.

On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, reacting to Amy’s pregnancy news, one person wrote: “So this means Amy will be taking a break from the show then.”
Another chimed in and suggested: “I think when it comes out about John killing Nate Tracy will leave the village to start a fresh.” A third penned: “Yeah there’s nothing really keeping her apart from Vanessa.” Someone else agreed: “I thought that.”
