The Tracy Metcalfe actress shared an adorable gender reveal video on Instagram

Emmerdale fans were over the moon as one of the beloved stars of the popular ITV soap shared a heartwarming family update on Boxing Day.

Amy Walsh, who portrays Tracy Metcalfe in the hit ITV series, announced back in September that she was expecting her second child with EastEnders actor Toby-Alexander Smith.

On Boxing Day, Amy, 38, took to Instagram to reveal the gender of her second child in an endearing video captioned: “New addition to the family incoming!”.

The video features Amy and Toby’s daughter Bonnie sitting on the stairs in front of her all-boy cousins. Text then appears: “When it’s your last Christmas before becoming a big sister… will I still be the only girl in the family?”.

This is followed by footage of Amy and Toby’s baby gender reveal, where a football is kicked and pink powder bursts into the sky, signalling a girl, as the family erupts in celebration. The text overlay on the video reads: “Girl power coming in 2026.”, reports the Daily Star.

Amy’s 194K followers and Emmerdale co-stars were quick to shower their congratulations on the happy news.

Natalie Ann Jamieson, who played Amy Wyatt, wrote: “Can not waitttttt x x x” accompanied by heart emojis, while Michelle Hardwick, who portrays Vanessa Woodfield, commented with heart emojis. Bradley Riches, who stars as Lewis Barton, added three white hearts.

Amy and Toby tied the knot in Montenegro in September 2023, surrounded by their loved ones, following their engagement in August 2022. They are also proud parents to a daughter, Bonnie, born in December 2021.

On Tuesday (September 9), the couple announced that Bonnie would soon be getting a younger sibling, sharing their delightful pregnancy news.

Amy posted a black-and-white video on Instagram, accompanied by Nick Drake’s ‘Northern Sky’. In the heartwarming clip, she’s heard saying to Bonnie: “Mummy and daddy have got a special secret to tell you..”

She went on: “Mummy has got a baby in her tummy. A baby sister or brother for you,” whilst the camera revealed a scan picture held by Amy, Toby, and Bonnie.

Amy wrote alongside the post: “Smith/Walsh baby 2.0 incoming 2026,” and was instantly flooded with well-wishes.

Fellow Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins, who’s also pregnant, responded: “Gorgeous! ! ! ! ! So happy for you.”

Michelle Hardwick added: “So exciting,” whilst Samantha Giles wrote: “So excited the news is finally out.”
