Actress Laura Norton joined the ITV soap in 2012 and took on the role of Kerry Wyatt. Her character left the Dales in 2022 to work on a cruise ship after struggling to cope the death of her partner Al Chapman.

Kerry has had a tough year after Amy was one of the three deaths caused by the Valentine’s Day limo crash.

Amy was plunged into freezing cold water after the ice cracked beneath her feet, she later died in hospital from a cardiac arrest.

On Wednesday (September 10) night, the National Television Awards took place and everyone from the small screen gathered under the same roof.

Emmerdale were nominated for Serial Drama but sadly lost out to EastEnders following their big year of wins for their 40th anniversary.

Her co-stars rushed to the comments as Eden Taylor-Draper wrote: “The most beautiful” to which Laura replied: “YOU are”.

Eden was nominated for Serial Drama Performance but the win went to EastEnders star Steve McFadden for his Phil Mitchell storyline, instead.
