The actress made her Emmerdale debut as Mandy Dingle back in 1995 and has become quite the Dales icon over her many years in the village.

Celebrating her 30th anniversary on the ITV soap recently, Lisa shared: “A few months later my agent rang me and said they wanted me back for a siege episode. Here I am sat with you 30 years later. The memories go on and on.

“When there’s a lot of drama I always say ‘Mandy you can take a breath and be a bit silly from all the drama’. Working with Dominic after all these years, Dominic putting up with me, Mandy and Paddy when I came back everyone said ‘when are they going to put them back together’.

“I cannot go anywhere without someone saying ‘we love Mandy and Paddy, where’s Paddy’. We get on so well and that does come through the screen.”

While the actress has had quite a year in the soap herself, she took to Instagram to praise three of her co-stars amid their “gripping” storyline.

Congratulating Danny Miller, Oliver Farnworth, and Lawrence Robb, Lisa wrote: “Massive congratulations to @danny_b_miller #oliverfarnworth @lawrencejarobb your performances have been outstanding every single episode-completely gripped to the story you are all telling,

“And the insanely talented @matthiltondir who’s natural humility makes him even more exceptional, you’ve all been bloody INCREDIBLE”.

As viewers will recall, Mackenzie Boyd learned that John Sugden had killed Nate Robinson, and after a nerve-wracking chase ensued Mack found himself held captive in an underground bunker.

In recent episodes, Mack managed to escape but it was short-lived as he was found moments later once again by the villain.

Meanwhile, John had also drugged Aaron Dingle, hoping to keep his husband by his side at all time in an attempt to feel “needed”. However, Aaron drank more than John expected and followed him into the woods just as he went on the hunt for Mack.

Aaron, pretending to believe John’s lies, has since started questioning his behaviour and then discovered Mack’s phone in his pocket.

Lisa’s praise comes just a few days after her bid for “no spoilers” as the intense week of episodes aired.

“NO SPOILERS PLEASE for tonight’s @emmerdale it’s too (sic) exciting!!!” she urged viewers.
