The Gabby Thomas actress tends to keep her love life private when she’s away from the Dales

Emmerdale’s Rosie Bentham has revealed her boyfriend that she’s kept “secret” for three years as she declares how “happy” she is.

Actress Rosie Bentham made her Emmerdale debut as Gabby Thomas back in 2016 after replacing the previous actress, Annelise Manojlovic.

Unfortunately for Gabby, her love life in the Dales has been a rollercoaster of drama. After her one-night stand with Jamie Tate led to her falling pregnant with son Thomas, two years later she found love with Nicky Miligan.

Preparing to walk down the aisle, Gabby was left heartbroken when he told her he couldn’t be with her anymore. He later left the Dales with boyfriend Suni Sharma.

Recently, her friendship with Vinny Dingle blossomed into much more, and while the couple had their doubts at first they’ve since become engaged.

Sadly, their relationship has recently come under fire as Vinny started to question his sexuality following a near kiss with close friend Kammy Hadiq.

Since then, he met up with someone called Mike from an online chat room, thinking he was safe to offload his worries. Unfortunately, Mike targeted men like Vinny and horrifically beat him up while demanding money from him.

Vinny has kept this quiet from Gabby, but opened up to Kammy who jumped into action to defend his friend.

On their wedding day, Gabby was left wondering where her groom has got to when he darted off to the police station, prepared to spill the beans about Mike.

Away from the Dales, Rosie keeps her love life rather private, but has recently revealed that she does have a boyfriend – and he showed up to the National Television Awards to support the actress.

Speaking to The Sun, Rosie shared: “We were introduced by a mutual friend and he knew what I did for a job but hadn’t seen the programme! His mum and grandparents watch Emmerdale, though.

“I am happy, and I am glad my life is a lot more peaceful than Gabby’s! We’ve been together for nearly three years. He is a quantity surveyor and lives in Yorkshire. We are both really into our health and fitness.”

Rosie admitted that her boyfriend prefers to stay out of the limelight, and also wishes not to be named. She continued: “He has never been one for all of that (fame). He likes to stay anonymous, and I respect that.

“But he came with me to the Soap Awards, and he loved it. I like going to events with him as it’s fun for an outsider to have a glimpse of the TV world we work in, but at home and when we are together, we don’t really speak about Emmerdale that much.

“But he does find it funny when people come up and call me Gabby!”
