On December 8, 2025, General Hospital actress Nazneen Contractor, who plays ADA Justine Turner, took to Instagram to honor her mother on a very special occasion: her 80th birthday.

With a carousel of photos, both then and now, Contractor shared a heartfelt tribute that made it clear just how deeply she admires the woman who raised her.

Contractor began her tribute, “My beautiful mother, Yasmin, celebrated her 80th birthday this weekend, and my heart is overflowing.”

From there, she poured out her love and gratitude, describing her mother as “the embodiment of selflessness, the kind of woman who gives without keeping score, who loves without conditions, and who finds strength in places most of us didn’t know existed.” She added that anyone who knows her mother can feel that same warmth and generosity radiating from her.

There is no denying her mother’s remarkable presence, and Nazneen’s words captured it perfectly. “There’s something rare about someone who can look at the world and consistently find the good, even when it’s hiding. She was the best wife and her marriage to my Papa was the gold standard of love.”

Contractor continued to honor Yasmin’s many roles in their family, sharing, “She’s Jiji to my children, the grandmother who makes every moment an adventure. She’s the keeper of recipes that taste like home and memories. And to me, she’s been my constant, my biggest cheerleader, the voice that never doubted even when I doubted myself. Everything I’ve been able to build and create has her fingerprints all over it, not because she did it for me, but because she made me believe I could.”

She closed her tribute by saying: “Mama, we love you more than words can hold. Thank you for being exactly who you are, the best mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and friend anyone could ask for. Every moment we share is a gift I never take for granted.”

Contractor, who recurs on the ABC daytime drama, is married in real life to actor Carlo Rota, who also appears on General Hospital as Jenz Sidwell. The couple has been married since April 1, 2010, and together they share two children, a son and a daughter.
