General Hospital stars Jane Elliot (Tracy) and Steve Burton (Jason) are proving once again why they are soap icons.

The ABC soap finally addressed the death ofMonica, played by Leslie Charleson, who died in January at the age of 79. On General Hospital, Jason discovered that Monica had passed away and immediately told Tracy, giving fans some powerful scenes.

Heartbreaking scenes followed Jason breaking the devastating news to Tracy, which left viewers tearing up. It’s not just Tracy and Jason mourning Monica. Every emotion that Elliot and Burton felt about losing Charleson in real life was written all over their faces.

The kicker was Jason holding Tracy as she broke down. This scene held so much General Hospital history, as these two, who had been estranged for years, leaned on each other because of Monica.
