Hit Netflix Series Gets Release Date Window for Season 7
A new update about one of Netflix’s most-watched dramas surfaced during an unexpected on-air moment. A principal cast member addressed the long-standing questions surrounding the show’s next chapter. He confirmed when viewers can expect Season 7 to arrive.
Virgin River Season 7’s 2026 release date window revealed
A new update about Virgin River Season 7 surfaced during Benjamin Hollingsworth’s appearance on FOX 5’s Good Day New York. The hosts stated that the Netflix drama will return in March 2026, and Hollingsworth confirmed the month when asked directly. This marks the first instance of a cast member publicly specifying the release window.
FOX 5 introduced the release month several times during the segment. Hollingsworth, who plays Dan Brady, confirmed the timing after discussing his new movie The Christmas Ring, which co-stars Kelsey Grammer. The film is currently in theaters for two weeks with a VOD release planned. He described Virgin River reaching eight seasons as “surreal” and said, “to be the longest-running show is such a blessing. I love my character, I have such an attachment to Brady.”

Hollingsworth addressed Brady’s storyline, saying, “Brady left off having no money in his bank account,” referencing the theft of the character’s savings in Season 6. He added, “He’s now broke (again) and Brie, his love, his new first true real love, has now been proposed to with Mike with a plastic cap bottle cap ring out of nowhere.” He explained that Brady will search for his stolen money, locate his ex-girlfriend, and “navigate whether he can get back with Brie.”
Netflix and the official Virgin River accounts have not confirmed the March 2026 window. Netflix listed the series as part of its 2026 returning lineup during its Q3 earnings call, and Alexandra Breckenridge indicated around the same time that a 2026 release was likely. A charity listing states that Season 8 will begin production next April, matching the show’s pattern of returning and then moving back into production shortly afterward.
The only other March premiere currently dated on Netflix’s 2026 slate is One Piece Season 2, scheduled for March 10.
