For two years, the mystery surrounding the crash that killed Kristina Foster has haunted the family. Jo (Maddison Brown) was driving that night, but she has no memory of what happened. Despite police investigations, the cause of the crash was never determined — and it tore the family apart.

David (Jeremy Lindsay Taylor) finally revisited the police file, only to make a shocking discovery. The emergency call that night came from Jo herself, something she had no recollection of. The revelation reopened old wounds for everyone, including her estranged sister Lacey (Sophea Pennington), who had long suspected David used his police connections to shield Jo from blame.

Now, desperate for answers, Jo turns to hypnosis to unlock the missing pieces of that night.

A Risky Plan

Jo arrives at the police station with lunch for David, but beneath the calm surface lies a bold plan — she’s decided to undergo hypnotherapy. David immediately worries about the emotional toll, but Jo insists she can’t live with unanswered questions any longer.

When they bump into Bree, she warns them that hypnosis can be intense, especially when it involves repressed trauma. Still, Jo’s mind is made up. “I can’t keep having panic attacks,” she tells her father. “I can’t live like this anymore.”

Tane (Ethan Browne) later gives her the encouragement she needs, telling her that if he had any chance to heal his family, he’d take it too. Strengthened by his words, Jo books a session for the next morning — with David agreeing to keep it close to home at the station.

Hypnosis Reveals a Shocking Memory

The following day, hypnotherapist Amelia (Megan O’Connell) guides Jo into a safe memory — a childhood moment on the family swing. Slowly, Jo is led toward the night of the crash.

Her breathing quickens as flashes come back. The road. Headlights. A car — grey, speeding toward them on the wrong side. Jo gasps awake, blurting out the words: “It was a grey Mercedes. The number plate… C and M.”

David rushes to her side as the weight of the revelation sinks in. Jo wasn’t at fault. Someone else caused the crash. For the first time, she feels vindicated.
