Home and Away Star Juliet Godwin Announces Engagement After Emotional Exit from Summer Bay
Home and Away fans are celebrating a real-life happy ending for Juliet Godwin, who has announced her engagement to long-term partner Sam Masters — just days after her final scenes as Bree Cameron aired in Australia.
“Here’s to Forever, Baby”
The 29-year-old actress, who joined Home and Away in 2022, shared the joyful news on Instagram with a heartwarming beachside photo showing off her sparkling engagement ring.
“October you were good to us,” she captioned the post. “Here’s to forever baby.”
The comment section was flooded with congratulations from her Home and Away co-stars. Lynne McGranger, Kyle Shilling, Ada Nicodemou, Georgie Parker, Sarah Roberts, and Emily Symons were among those sending love and excitement.
Former castmate Angelina Thomson (Kirby) wrote:
“SO DAMN HAPPY FOR YOU BOTH!!! CONGRATULATIONS YOU ABSOLUTE BEAUTIES!!! YAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY LOVVVVEEEEEEE.”
Juliet later joked that she and Sam first met at a party, where her “’70s dance moves” sealed the deal.

Bree’s Bittersweet Goodbye
The engagement announcement comes just as Juliet’s emotional Home and Away exit aired in Australia. Her character, Bree Cameron, left Summer Bay to join Doctors Without Borders, fulfilling her dream of helping others.
Before leaving, Bree shared one final, tender moment with Remi Carter (Adam Rowland), as the former couple briefly rekindled their romance. In a heartfelt goodbye, Bree told him:
“I could never forget you. You changed my life. Without you, I never would have made it to this point.”
Juliet marked the moment by posting a touching video comparing Bree’s first and last appearances on the show, writing:
“All the love in the world for you @homeandaway. Thank you for an incredible time in Summer Bay.”
Big Changes in Summer Bay
Juliet’s exit follows a series of major cast shake-ups for Home and Away. Longtime favourite Lynne McGranger (Irene Roberts) recently confirmed her departure, while Angelina Thomson (Kirby), Kirsty Marillier (Rose), and Matt Evans (Theo) have also left the show.
But it’s not all goodbyes — Home and Away fans have plenty to look forward to. Stephen Peacocke and Bonnie Sveen are set to return as beloved couple Brax and Ricky, with new episodes filming in Western Australia ahead of the 2026 season.
A New Chapter Begins
For Juliet Godwin, life after Summer Bay looks bright. Between her engagement, new career opportunities, and global fan support, the actress has clearly carried Bree’s strength and independence into her next adventure.
As one fan commented beneath her engagement post:
“From saving lives in the Bay to saying yes on the beach — what a perfect ending.”
