Emmerdale’s Bear Wolf has gone missing after brutally attacking Jacob Gallagher but has he left for good?

Bear Wolf has been spiralling since killing his captor Ray Walters in Emmerdale.

The fan favourite, played by Joshua Richards, was enslaved on Ray (Joe Absolom) and Celia Daniels’ (Jaye Griffiths) farm for months and was forced to live and work in squalor.

He faced numerous forms of abuse and even had one of the other victims die in his arms. Bear eventually left the farmhouse, tracking down Ray and throttling him.

His son Paddy Dingle (Dominic Brunt) and Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) were present at the time of the crime and helped to bundle Ray’s corpse into the back of Jai Sharma’s (Chris Bisson) van.

They then decided to keep Bear hidden from public view in a bid to keep the dark secret under wraps. He later confessed everything to a therapist and has since been bailed by the police but continues to struggle with what he did.

After a conversation with Ray’s former partner Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy), Bea returned home and smashed a mirror, cutting his hand.

During Friday’s episode. Bear arrived at the hospital and demanded treatment. The nurse assured him that he would get care as soon as possible but he’d have to wait.

He grew increasingly impatient and student doctor Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) pulled him into a side room to try and give some immediate care to his hand.

Bear began to panic, and grabbed Jacob from behind, effectively dealing a wrestling tackle. Jacob fell to the ground in agony, as the hospital security guard ushered Bear into a side room.

Paddy and wife Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) entered the hospital and heard that a psychiatric team had been called. As they discussed what would be in their dad’s best interests, they discovered he’d gone missing.

On a dark road outside the hospital, Bear walked beside the line of traffic. Where is he heading, and will he be ok?

Spoilers for next week have confirmed that Paddy is distraught having spent the night fruitlessly searching for Bear.

Soon things get worse for Paddy and Dylan when DS Walsh (Amanda Ryan) calls round as a result of Bear breaching his bail and assaulting Jacob in the hospital – he’ll be held on remand when he’s found.

A concerned Paddy finally finds his Bear in a bad way next to Anya Berisha (Alia Al-Shabibi) now empty grave site and coaxes his dad back to his car.

Paddy knows he needs to inform DS Walsh, however, he thinks he can avoid Bear’s immediate imprisonment by paying for him to stay at a secure mental health unit bt will the plan work?
