The #4 Chicago Cubs (National League Central) and the #5 San Diego Padres (National League West) faced off at the historic Wrigley Field, the home field of the Cubs. The Cubs won home-field advantage for the entire best-of-3 series by finishing higher than the Padres in the regular season. The Cubs won game 1 of the series 3-1, and the Padres took the second game 3-0.
