Last Week on Y&R: Victor Bankrupts Matt, Claire and Audra Brawl, and Noah Escapes Death

The week of December 1-5 on The Young and the Restless, Jack revealed a drastic plan to save Jabot from Victor’s stolen AI weapon, while in Los Angeles, Noah and Sienna made a desperate escape from Matt Clark’s clutches, and Victor turned the AI loose on a new target. Back in Genoa City, Audra slapped Claire in public and sparked an all-out war between them. Here’s a quick recap for you to catch up!

Jack Unveils a Desperate Plan to Save Jabot

The Abbott family gathered for Thanksgiving, but the holiday cheer was overshadowed by Jack’s troubling news. He explained that Victor stole Cane’s AI software and is already using it to bleed Arabesque dry. Even worse, Jack believes Victor is waiting for the perfect moment to turn that weapon on Jabot, and the Abbott Communications launch party is likely his target.

Jack’s solution shocked his family. Jack figured the only way to protect Jabot from the AI is to take the entire company offline for about three months. Kyle pointed out that their digital storefront would collapse, and Traci questioned whether Jabot could ever recover from such a drastic shutdown. But Jack sees no other choice… If they can anticipate Victor’s move and counter-punch before he strikes, they might survive.

Diane jumped into action on the legal front, vowing to find evidence that Victor is using the stolen AI so he can be held liable in court. But Jack had another card to play. When he confided in Nikki about the shutdown plan, she admitted that Victor does have the AI and promised to try to get her hands on it. Whether she can actually stop her husband remains to be seen, but Jack is holding out hope.

Cane Surrenders, Then Corners Phyllis

Cane Ashby showed up at Newman Ranch on Thanksgiving with an unexpected offer. He told Victor he’s admitting defeat and is willing to sell Arabesque for pennies on the dollar. Victor wasn’t biting, though. He’d rather watch Cane twist in the wind and swoop in to pick over the bones once Cane is completely destroyed.

But Cane’s surrender wasn’t his only move. He confronted Phyllis at the GCAC and told her he knows she stole his AI software and handed it to Victor in exchange for Jabot. Cane laid out Phyllis’s options: She can work with Victor, who will inevitably betray her, or she can join forces with Cane to build something new together.

Cane told Phyllis he’s done being Dumas. His empire is crumbling, and he’s ready to reinvent himself with her by his side, but their partnership has to start with honesty. Whether Phyllis is truly ready to leave her Jabot ambitions behind is another story.

Noah and Sienna Make a Daring Escape

The search for Noah intensified in Los Angeles as Nick and Sharon followed leads to a warehouse filled with druggies and squatters, but no sign of their son. A homeless man told them he’d seen Noah and Sienna strung out, but Nick and Sharon suspected it was a plant from Matt Clark designed to make them suffer.

Meanwhile, Noah and Sienna were locked in a filthy storage room. They pieced together that Detective Burrow is a dirty cop and that Sienna’s husband Mitch is actually the long-dead Matt Clark. Noah managed to pop the door hinges using Sienna’s Bowie lightning bolt pendant, but when they got the door open, Matt and Burrow were waiting on the other side.

Matt tried to force Noah to take fentanyl, threatening to have Burrow shoot Sienna if he refused. Just when things looked hopeless, Burrow turned his gun on Matt and announced he was under arrest, but the twist came when his partner Annie arrived and pointed her weapon at Burrow instead. Turns out she’s on Matt’s payroll!

Noah made a grab for Annie’s gun, and in the chaos, he and Sienna escaped to The Shadow Room. They grabbed cash, files, and a gun before fleeing in Sienna’s car with Matt in hot pursuit.

Victor Unleashes the AI on Matt Clark

Victor arrived in LA to support his family and immediately confronted Matt at The Shadow Room. He offered a king’s ransom for Noah’s return, but Matt wasn’t interested. Victor had another plan.

When Noah called Nick from the road to say Matt was chasing them, Victor made his move. He called Matt and warned him that his AI would drain every penny from The Shadow Room unless he backed off. Matt laughed it off and said Victor would never see Noah alive again.

Victor’s response was swift. He ordered his tech team to release the AI, and Matt was forced to abandon his pursuit as his finances started hemorrhaging. Nick and Sharon directed Noah and Sienna to a safe parking lot while Victor’s digital weapon did its work. Matt screamed that it wasn’t over, but he stopped his pursuit, and for now, Noah and Sienna are free.

Audra Slaps Claire and Ignites a War

Back in Genoa City, Claire was having drinks with Holden at Society when she pressed him about what really happened between him and Audra. Holden deflected, but Audra overheard and stalked over to tell Claire to stop digging into her past.

The confrontation escalated quickly. Claire pointed out that Audra is miserable with no job, no romance, and no life. Audra wound up and slapped Claire hard across the face. Claire’s response was to wrap her hands around Audra’s throat before Holden separated them.

Claire warned Audra to stay away or she’d shut her up for good, then she left with Kyle. Later, the two of them hatched a plan. They’re going to dig into Audra’s history in LA and bury her with whatever they find. Kyle is all in, and Claire raised her glass to toast their alliance. Audra, meanwhile, told Holden that if Claire wants a war, she’ll get one.

Loose Threads

Lily and Phyllis clashed at the GCAC over Cane, with Lily warning that Phyllis will be Cane’s downfall and Phyllis firing back that Lily was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Cane broke up the argument and told them both he’s done being manipulated.

Victoria met with Victor before his trip to LA, frustrated that her family keeps secrets from her about whatever is happening with Sharon, Nick, and Noah. Victor told her to trust him and put her in charge of Newman Enterprises while he’s away.

Nate ran into Audra at Crimson Lights and made it clear he’ll never forgive her lies about Nice and Vibrante. Even if he could accept her apology, he said, he could never trust her again.
