Photos of Young & Restless Actresses at the Daytime Emmy Luncheon

As we prepare for tonight’s big event, this past weekend some of daytime’s superstars came together for an annual lunch to celebrate those in the running for a Daytime Emmy Award for Leading Actress and Supporting Actress. A few of the nominees couldn’t make it but those from The Young and the Restless who did shared special messages from the event.

Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea) posted a photo alongside other Leading Actress nominees Eileen Davidson (Ashley) and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis), as well as Supporting Actress noms Courtney Hope (Sally) and Susan Walters (Diane) and shared, “What a day! Loved celebrating the Lead and Supporting Actress Emmy nominations alongside this incredible group of women and friends. Stories were told, pinky promises were made (even our waiter got in on it), and many laughs were had. Looking forward to celebrating them all and our daytime community on Friday!” She went on to thank their host, Stafford, and added, “These women are so hilarious, talented and beautiful. Also I’m reminded how much shorter I am than all of them. See you Friday!”

Davidson also posted a photo with “a few of the very best” and thanked Stafford for “the best time” with “stories and pinky promises!”

Hope jumped into the comments to cheer, “Such a fun day,” as Walters replied to Egan, “Loved celebrating you and with you today!”

Those who couldn’t make it included Leading Actress nominees Sharon Case (Sharon), General Hospital’s Laura Wright (Carly) and Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) and Supporting Actress noms General Hospital’s Kate Mansi (Kristina) and Days of Our Lives’ Emily O’Brien (Gwen) and Linsey Godfrey (Sarah). Do you think they would’ve been in on the pinky promise too? Since it likely surrounded being happy for whichever actress wins in each category, we think so.

While we’ll have to wait until Friday to see who brings home a golden statuette, since all scenes are based off of the stars’ 2024 work, look back at some of the best and worst storylines of that year in the photo gallery below.
