Who Is Nathan On ‘General Hospital’?
After seven years away, Ryan Paevey (Nathan) made his General Hospital return in true soap fashion.
Nathan died when Paevey opted to leave the ABC soap in 2018. However, now a man who looks a lot like a dead Nathan has landed in the emergency room at General Hospital.
A Refresher on General Hospital’s Nathan West
Hunky Nathan arrived in Port Charles as the person subleasing Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) apartment while she was out of town. Nathan was a Port Charles police detective working alongside Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Anna (Finola Hughes).
Nathan was shot and killed by his father, Fasion, as he tried to save Maxie and his brother, Peter (Wes Ramsey). Losing Nathan rocked Port Charles, but not as much as his possible return.
Is Nathan West Coming Back to General Hospital?
Hot on the heels of Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) returning from the dead and shocking Port Charles, comes a Nathan look-alike. In an interview with TV Insider, Paevey confirmed he does have scenes coming up with Britt.
The actor didn’t reveal if he’s really Nathan, an evil twin, or someone else wearing a Nathan mask. Paevey did give fans something to think about, though: “This go-round is definitely going to be wildly different than the last one. We’ve got some fun stuff planned. We’re going to stir the pot. I wouldn’t come back for something vanilla. It’s going to be a blast.”
Paevey will be front and center as everyone in Port Charles tries to figure out his identity, so buckle up, General Hospital fans, it’s going to be one wild ride.
It didn’t take long for Nathan’s family to pop up on General Hospital. Fans were led to believe that Nathan was Nina’s (then Michelle Stafford) brother, and their mother was Madeline Reeves (Donnal Mills).
In true soap fashion, Nathan’s life was turned upside down when he learned that Madeline’s sister, Liesl (Kathleen Gati), was his biological mother. Liesl gave Nathan to Madeline to keep him safe from his father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).
During his time on General Hospital, Nathan became one of Maxie’s great loves. The chemistry between Paevey and Storms was off the charts, making Maxie and Nathan a fan favorite couple.
They were wed in a beautiful Metro Court wedding one year before Nathan died. James (Gary James Fuller) is their son and was born after Nathan’s shocking death.
