For a long time in Days of Our Lives now, there have been questions about EJ‘s motives, especially since he teamed up with Gwen to work on a super-secret science project at the new clinic. Of course, speculation has been rife for months, but could this be even bigger than what fans initially thought?

Will EJ revive Lexie on Days of Our Lives?

With EJ being involved in the secret project, some fans even dreamed up the biggest and most twisted of possibilities, like EJ resurrecting Stefano. While this would have been a big twist, recent episodes of Days of Our Lives seem to hint that EJ may be on his way to resurrecting Lexie, instead.

One of the big hints came in the winter preview of Days of Our Lives, where EJ showed Paulina who was in the cryogenic chamber. The episode on Monday further hinted at this.

In Monday’s episode, Abe thought back to asking EJ for help shortly after Abe was ranting about “Lexie’s family.” Moreover, EJ visited the cryogenic tube to spend Thanksgiving with whoever was in there. It seems to be someone whom EJ can consider his only family.

Of course, it could still be Stefano as fans predicted earlier, but it seems more likely for EJ to revive Lexie than his villainous father. There is no doubt that Stefano’s return would ensure Theo’s removal from the CEO position, but it would also mean Stefano taking over.

However, if Lexie were to do that, EJ would not have to play second fiddle to the role and would comfortably step in himself.

This is all gain for EJ, so naturally, the question remains about Gwen’s involvement. Perhaps there is a deal between them that will pay off the latter. Either way, this is a plot point that Days of Our Lives may explore later.

For now, all hints seem to point towards Lexie’s return to the fore. The upcoming episodes of the soap opera will be key to uncovering the truth.
