The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, September 18 finally give Mariah a voice in the Tessa and Daniel friendship, while Jack tries to save Nikki by appealing to her daughter.

Mariah Confronts Daniel

We do not blame Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) for growing closer to Daniel (Michael Graziadei). Her life is a mess. Her wife, Mariah (Camryn Grimes), just dumped her with no explanation. She’s distanced herself from their daughter, and then she announced to Tessa that she tried to kill someone. And refused to elaborate.

Yeah, Tessa could use a friend. And Daniel has been that friend. If Mariah is going to object, she’d better start sharing some serious information about what’s going on. Maybe she can tell Daniel what she hasn’t been able to confess to Tessa?

Jack Moves Onto Victoria

Jack (Peter Bergman) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) were close when Jack was married to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), and despite Victoria being one of Victor’s (Eric Braeden) biggest apologists, she has a soft spot for her former stepfather.

That’s why, when Nikki refuses to listen to Jack’s warnings about Victor’s latest plan to take over the world, Jack turns to Victoria. She understands that what her father is doing is a crime that could hurt everybody… and eventually Newman, too.

Is Lily Starting to Fall for Cane

Cane (Billy Flynn) has vowed to win his ex-wife back. Lily (Christel Khalil) has made it clear they are never, ever getting back together. You’d think this would suggest they were at an impasse.

But Cane is relentless. And he’s descended from a notorious lady killer like Colin (Tristan Rogers). Is that why Lily is starting to soften towards him? Or does she have a con of her own planned? We’d love to think this is all part of a plan on her part.
